3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Dixonian (1200) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 7, 2012
12oz bottle.
Bright copper pour with some white head. Lots of piney hop aroma with some floral and grapefruit. Flavor is quite bitter but there is still some malt present - spicy hop finish.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 johnluvsbeer (120) - Arizona, USA - MAR 5, 2012
Copper colored, with a thick white, foamy head that leaves a decent lacing.
Big, malty aroma, with an abundance of piney hops. Nice balance here. Taste is also big on malt character, and then an onslaught of herbal hop flavor. Finish is a mixture of sweet malt and bitter hop.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 califbeer69 (96) - California, USA - MAR 3, 2012
Orange-rust color with good carbonation. Thick head with some nice lacing. Aromas of hops, tangerine, oranges, and grapefruit. The taste follows suit with hoppy, citrus-like flavors dominating. The hops blend together nicely, but there isn’t much complexity. A bit unbalanced with the malts.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DrSilverworm (1041) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 1, 2012
12oz bottle, best by May 2012. Real thin light khaki head, quickly fading to minimal. Bubbles on side of glass. Clear yellow-orange color. Bit of lace. Carbonation is a bit stronger, but it’s soft, and the texture is safely on the dry side. Nice grassy hop aroma. Little bitter taste. Not bad, but as far as IPAs go, you can do way better than this. I liked the black version of this much better ("Black Cannon"), it was much more interesting. Maybe it was fresher. I wonder how closely related the two are.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 boxofrane (417) - pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 20, 2012
Bottle. Pours orange with a large white head. Smells very floral. Taste is medium bodied, bitter, and well balanced. This followed a sculpin and did not seem lost. Solid and enjoyed.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BillWyce (367) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 18, 2012
From notes: Pours hazy pale amber with a 3-finger white head. Citrusy hop aroma mixed with a note of black pepper. Medium-thick, just a touch syrupy. Flavors of piney and grapefruity hops with a slight oily note to the finish,
4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 blakjak (1) - Massachusetts, USA - FEB 14, 2012 does not count

Pours a decent copper with a thin cream colored head. Pine and grapefruit nose, but too subtle and lacking in bitterness on the tongue for a 98 rating imho. Decent dry finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gooney (297) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 28, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 9, 2012 12 oz bottle - clear orange. Scents of citrus. Strawberry under tones. I’d like a little more malt, but overall a nice beer.

This is my absolute favorite beer of all time. I bought it on a lark because of the comical name/label, and quickly realized I had stumbled into a treasure. A solid punch of hops is followed by an intracate symphony of citrus and spices, to create one of the best beer drinking experiences money can buy. If you like IPA’s and compex tastes, this one is a must-try.
