Our English style barleywine - rich, malty, and opulent. Great at time of release but will benefit from bottle aging for many years to come. VINTAGE DATED.

2012 bomber. Pour is a deep crimson slightly hazy, with a thin off white head. Aroma is sweet with plum and fig, cherries, caramel, toffee, a hint of chocolate. Taste is big caramel and toffee with plum, brown sugar and faint hops. Boozy in the finish with some sweet malt lingering between sips. Decent barleywine, although perhaps a bit too sweet.

22oz bottle ’11Vintage (Crown Liquors #15-Fishers)-40° in Snifter-Pours a dark brown with a small tan covering for a head. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel, toffee, and roasted malts. Taste of the same with more sweetness and toffee. This full bodied brew is well done and is well balanced.

2012 Vintage bomber. Pours a dark toffee brown with about 2 fingers worth of head. Tastes of sweet malt a hint of coffee and mild hops. Smooth not sticky moutfeel. A very solid barley wine.

Vintage 2010 Dark, english appearing brown ale with a finger of light caramel foam that falls to a mirrored surface with a rim. Nice cherry hues where light glows. Smells of cocoa, lots of cocoa; kinda weirds me out, but I dig it. Nice caramel, toffee and tea flavors in the beer. I haven’t had it fresh, but I like it now as it is. Medium bodied with a semi slick finish. I would drink this again and again if in my area. Looking forward to the BBA and Cab versions. Serving type: bottle 01-01-2012

22oz Bomber from Winslow’s. (2012 Vintage) Dark brown murky hue with light brown mostly diminishing fizzy head. Virtually no lacing. Strong sweet smell of fruit and some malt. I got some cranberry, apple, prune, port wine and alcohol smells throughout the experience. Sweet light malt on the initial taste some on the finish but more alcohol then malt. Dry on the palate.

Color- deep chestnut. Slight head. Very malty, with slight sweetness and alcohol warmth. Dark candied fruits- plum, raisin. I like my barley wines hoppier than this.

Cask at Ginger Man, NYC. I guess it Must be a 2012 vintage. Pours a dark brown, almost still but with a somewhat bigger than expected with head (must have been a really vigorous pour?) that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is loaded with vanilla and toffee (burnt sugar). Taste is sweet but not cloying with a lot of caramel and (I swear) some bourbon impressions. Carbonation level was low, making it really smooth. There is a light alcohol sting but nothing too bad. A really fine drink.
