I liked this beer especially because I picked up the four pack for 6 bucks at the Lighthouse in Wrightsville Beach, NC. Not only that but for the 10% being well mask and a yummy dopplebock for that matter.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Shaftie (194) - , Florida, USA - AUG 12, 2010
Great beer, I’ve had before and I keep coming back, I actually let this one sit in the dark for a year. I would recommend this to any beer drinker, tasty and invigorating.

Hang 10 was from a cask and it was a novel choice, but disappointing in the end. The color is amber brown. The smell is of caramel and over-ripe bananas. The taste is similar to the smell and the sweetness is almost overwhelming. The finish is smooth and the sweetness mellows; however, I would compare this to some of the non-carbonated wort I’ve made during home-brewing.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 mixmasterob (680) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - AUG 1, 2010
Bomber shared with some friends. Muddy orange pour, opaque. Aroma was yeasty, some spice, orange and booze. Flavors followed suit with a tangy sweet finish. Alcohol was actually well masked.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Finhead (705) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2010
A brown pour with small white head (much like ice tea). A nice malty aroma filled with wheat, raisin, clove, and a slight hint of vanilla. This full body brew is sweet with soft carbonation and a slick texture. It finishes semi-sweet with alcohol warmth.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Rustyham (1399) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 20, 2010
Very dark purple, darker than most doppelbocks. Aroma and flavor of sweet prunes and ripe meat. Sour chewy caramel malt. More like a dubbel with the body of a quad. Surprisingly good, but not as easy to drink as most doppelbocks. Bottle from Stop and Shop, Miami.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 20, 2010
A- Translucent medium colored beautiful red/brown body. Thick foamy off-white head dwindles slowly to 1/2 finger. Leaves behind plenty of lacing in the glass.
S- Citrus, spices and yeast upfront in the smell. Dark fruits and alcohol in the background that can be noticed much more as it warms.
T- Typical weizen taste. Lots of citrus, spice and banana up front. Dark fruit and alcohol are noticeable but remain in the background. Finish is clean with yeast lingering until the next sip.
P- Medium carbonation and smooth yeasty body. Goes down smooth and easy.
O- The alcohol is quite noticeable in this brew. Its an enjoyable, slow drinker. At 10% ABV its hard to have a few of these but its something nice to start with. Flavor and character aren’t as strong as in other high ABV brews-but this is still a good one.

Pours a rich brown color with fruit and nutmeg aromas. The wheat is prominent and possibly too much for my tastes. Fruit and spice remind of mulled cider.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 dimenhetfield (1749) - , Florida, USA - FEB 14, 2010
Dark brown color with tints of red and orange. The taste is a little hoppy and somewhat fruity. The ABV% isn’t too overpowering, it goes down pretty smooth.
