4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thin head which dissipates rather quickly. Sweet and malty aroma with some cherries, toffee and spicy belgian yeast. Color is a dark crimson brown. Very nice color. Very good and pretty complex flavor. More sweet malts, dark fruity flavors, a bit of yeasty goodness and caramel. Really a very flavorful brew. Sort of reminds me of a watered down belgian quad. Little bit of dryness in the mouth and the alcohol is hidden very well with all of the flavors. This is one of the best begian dubbels I have had. A very nice brew and a pleasure to drink. Again, the Mutiny comes through!
