COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smoke On The Water is a rich and complex porter. The subtle smokey flavor comes from the use of smoked malt. Try it with anything that’s been cooked on a grill or smoker to compliment the flavor.

Black pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is smoke, chocolate, and roasted malt. Smokey, sweet chocolate, and a touch of tangy malt at the end. Medium body with good carbonation.

I don’t normally like smoked beers but this one was excellent. Nice and malty upfront with dark roasted fruit flavors and a warm alcohol finish.

Pours black with a dark tan head. Scent is dark fruit, smoke, chocolate. Taste is sweet, rich malt, roast... Not too much smoke, but exceptional, smooth, balanced notes and flavours. Great, just plain great.

Bottle. Molasses malt and hay aroma. Dark chestnut with minimal head. Mildly sweet and smoky milk chocolate malt and lightly bitter herbal hops flavor. Nice.

Bottle:   Nearly black, thin sudsy beige head, spotty lacing.   Soft smokey nose, subtle roasted malts.   Sweet roasted malt start, followed by a nice smoke aspect.   Soft porter, soft smokey aspect.   Very easy drinking, clean.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Has a slight grape popsicle flavor profile, oh, and also tootsie roll.   Smooth overall, but not a smokey example, not a robust roasted malt example.   Smooth, easy drinking, clean, and enjoyable for a smoked Porter.   Better than most I can say.

courtesy of Adrian Dänzer - clear very dark brown almost black beer with a poor head retention; aroma of tar and smoke; notes of cacao; full-bodied and sticky;lively palate; a good sweet malt backbone followed by a fair bitterness; the smokeyness appears more in the finishalong with nutty and black cherries notes

Holy sweet Jesus. I’m glad I found this one. It reminds me more of an imperial stout than it does a Smoked beer. Pours super dark and thick with a minimal head. Not overly smokey, but good roasted flavors and smells to it. Super easy on the palate, which makes for an amazing drink.

The body was dark brown and opaque like almost every other porter around, but this one had a pretty big tan colored head too. The smell was sweet chocolate, hints of coffee, and very mild smoke. The taste was fantastically smooth, with lots of vanilla, toffee, chocolate, and a smoky finish. The mouthfeel was velvet like, and soothing to the maximum. Very impressive offering from a brewery that usually does not entice me enough.
