COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The secret is in the 2.5 pounds of spice per barrel for this fall brew. We add the pumpkin during the mash at precisely the right time to create just the perfect balance of malt, hops, pumpkin and spice.

This brew pours a hazy golden orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Pumpkin spices in the nose along with some malt and vanilla. Medium body with flavors of pumpkins and nutmeg on top of hops and malt. The finish is a concoction of nutmeg, clove and pumpkins with a moderately bitter hops aftertaste. Decent beer overall that doesnít delve very far into the pumpkin patch.

Cask at Blind Tiger. Amber pour with no head. The nose is fairly spicy. A bit of light herbal character. There is a bit of herbal hoppiness initially with a soft fruity character as well. A touch of ginger and allspice with some clove and cinnamon. A very nice spicy note with a soft herbal pumpkiny character with the light hoppy spiciness on the back. Very lovely pint.

Bomber from Caponeís. Pours copper with nose of pumpkin spice, puree, cinnamon. Tastes of smooth pumpkin, spices, malt.

2012-05-04. Bright orange body, small beige head. 3+ sweetish aroma, light alcohol, muted pumpkin. Flavour is quite pumpkiny, sweet, light alcohol on the tongue is warming in the throat. Not super complex but enjoyable. Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate. Enjoyable. Bottle shared by Blankboy.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2012 22oz bottle. Mildly hazy orange color, active-looking carbonation. Thin, nice off-white head, leaving a nice row of lacing. Great pumpkin nose, sweet, but not too much. You can actually taste the alcohol in this one, which isnít awful... it actually kind of works. Good, crisp carbonation, easy to drink. 6 / 4 / 7 / 4 / 14

Re-rate, 9/12/12: Thin off-white head. Clear darker orange color. Some lace. Almost a balance of pumpkin and spice. Smooth lighter carbonation. Dry texture. Spicy taste, light bitter. Light spicy bite. Cinnamon, nutmeg. Solid double pumpkin. Kegs Iím seeing this year are labeled as 9%, but bottles are still 8%, which is odd... 6 / 4 / 6 / 4 / 13

Bottle via a trade from Cletus (I think). Pours with a white head and a hazy orange body. Aroma of pumpkin pie, spice, nutmeg and bready notes. Taste is a bit of a let down. Sweet over all with light spice and a large vegital note. Light bubbles and a dry mouthfeel.

Bottle shared with others. Poured a clear deep orange with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of strong intense spice that overwhelmed any other note trying to come through. Flavor was similar with over powering cinnamon and other spices dominating the whole beer and note allowing the pumpkin to come through.

On tap at the 2009 Great Pumpkin Festival, Cambridge Brewing Company, Cambridge MA on 31 October 2009. Orange colour. Falls into the "not outrageously spiced but not enough else going on to maintain my interest" category of pumpkin ales. Which is to say, for me, acceptable but uninspiring. Aroma is spicy but relatively restrained. Less spice on the palate. Could use more hops. Sweetish. Did I say Iím not a big fan of pumpkin ales?

Bottle courtesy of Justin. Pours a just clear orange, with a slight touch of haze under a medium sized beige head. Spice, a bit of pumpkin and vanilla. Medium bodied and smooth. Spicy light bitter finish. Pretty good, but the bourbon version was much nicer.

Thanks James (Mr. Tampa Pourhouse). Bomber pours clear copper with off white head. The aroma has nice fresh and organic smelling pumpkin pie and graham cracker to go along with a modest amount of cinnamon and faint nutmeg spices. The taste is pretty smooth with notes of sweet pumpkin, a nice layer of graham cracker and growing sharp spicy notes. To midway it picks up a sense of brown sugar and malty sweetness. Well done pumpkin.
