Cloudy light amber color. The aroma is a mix of whatever I don’t want in a beer: soap, cinnamon, herbs. High carbonation, malt flavor, herbal, some residual sweetness, strong fake cinnamon flavor; high alcohol perception. Messy.

Bottle. Poured clear hazy orange copper color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid doughy pumpkin and small woody alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy balanced bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Standout seasonal beer.

Bottle… Hazy amber/orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma is of vanilla, pumpkin meat and clove – essentially, pumpkin pie. Full-bodied and sticky with feather-soft carbonation. Nice pumpkin pie and vanilla flavors, but a bit too alcoholic for the pumpkin and spices to really shine. Finishes boozy and raw. Less noticeable alcohol and you’ve got Southern Tier’s Pumking – a real winner. Bottle courtesy of ygtbsm94!
