1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
22 oz. bottle pours a cloudy orange-ish color with a moderate amount of fine, wispy head. Aroma is heavy and sweet, of candied fruit, honey and bread. Low carbonation but sickly sweet with a strong flavor of clove. Now I remember why I got so sick when I smoked those clove cigarettes in junior high school.

I see that this beer is apparently retired, on the bottle I noticed that this isnít a abbey Tripel, but it is an imperial red ale aged in Jamaican rum barrels and comes in at about 9%. Overall this beer is awesome. Aroma is almost similar to a bailyís Irish cream smell. The beer is full bodied with notes of apples and caramel. Medium to high carbonation. Alcohol is hidden well. Good beer. I definitely think this page needs to be updated to reflect the current status of this beer

Had on tap at Heavy Seas Alehouse. Cask version. Pours a dark amber. Not like a tripel. Very sweet. Nice lacing. Spices. Ok beer but not to style.

Draft. Wow... Really like brown cough syrup... Even a little warming like Medicine. Brown, clear, thin head. Not for me.

22 oz. bottle, rating from notes. Pours a dark orangish color with a small fizzy white head. Aroma of big fruity esters, apricot, peach, touches of clove and banana. Flavor is sweet, lots of fruity notes, yeasty esters, and booze. Itís a touch cloying. Some clove and spice flavors as well. Thinnish bodied with high carbonation. Finishes boozy. A different take on your xmas ale, thatís for sure.

22oz bottle. Poured a hazy, dark golden color, with almost no head. The aroma has a breadiness, yeast, orange, coriander, cinnamon. The taste is bready, some sweetness. Some orange and cinnamon notes to the taste. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium in body and carbonation with a slightly drying finish.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep orange with very thin head, slight lacing. Not as carbonated as I typically like my trippels to be. Belgian candied sugar is evident, very sweet. Trappist yeast gives it the needed Belgian feel. Not much of an aroma. Okay for the style.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 14/20
Overall quality is poor, a big beer 10% abv with too much fusel alcohol and rough flavors to cohesively recognize as a quality tripel.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy copper in appearance with a small off-white head. Aroma is of dried fruits, spicy yeast, and candi sugar. Flavor has a nice subtle bready yeast backbone throughout. Dried fruits and sugary malts peak through as well. Medium to heavy bodied, good carbonation levels.
