12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Clear amber with an average fizzy/foamy off-white head. Average aroma, really - vaguely floral, some citrus, no alcohol. Taste follows - decent, unmemorable. Light body, mild carbonation, quick finish - not BAD, just .... dull.

Harris Teeter, DC sixer ($8): Pours a copper color with a small white head. Aroma is earthy and malty. Taste is way more on the malty side. Hops take second whistle. Like others have noted, this beer has a pretty British character to it. Very drinkable and sessionable. Mild aftertaste from the British hops. Slight bitterness.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 JCB (3114) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 22, 2011
On tap at the Diamond Bar, Baltimore Hilton. Nice lustrous pour, deep orange with a creamy head. Soft floral hops and gentle malting in the nose. Mouthfeel is nice and smooth, just a bit of playful carbonation. Tastes fresh as hell, and flavors are fairly full and vibrant. Well done, extremely sessionable APA.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 thicksuds (279) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 14, 2011
Not a bad PA, I like that it actually has some flavor, most PAs are watery but this is not the case, nice malt flavor, pretty hoppy, part of a mix pack and you could do worse, great mixer BTW

Amber pour with a thick white head. The aroma is a little bit malty with some soft american hop character in the back. A touch of soft fruitiness along with a little bit of light malt flavour. There is a light touch of watery character. Earthy with a little bit of light malt and some tartness that I could probably do without. A little bit of astringency. Meh
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 nike (504) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2011
A malty APA, not hoppy as we come to know APA’s. Decent hoppy flavor, but the malts take over the beer. Good CO2, medium body. Clean, crisp, dry finish. Drinkable, but their IPA is much better.

12 oz bottle from a Heavy Seas mix-pack. For some reason, this bottle is better than the first one I had. A light copper color. Good carbonation. Light sweet-spice aromas. Good malt and hop balance here. Not as sweet as the first one I had. Finishes with a light lingering bitterness. Not my favorite style, but a decent brew.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Drake (5231) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - OCT 1, 2011
Bottle from a Kroger. Pours a clear amber color with a medium creamy offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, some toastiness and floral hops. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, floral hops, a bit of citrus and berry and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Good beer. Surprised I haven’t had this yet given how readily available it is.

How could I miss this? I thought it must be news but there are ratings on here since 2003. A slight dark tint to this otherwise pale ale. A good old hoppy pale ale experience. Had some fresh fruity hop aroma and the co2 is of a good level. Aroma goes a little metallic during the session. Moer hops coming done the pike. A little sharp hop bitter bite ont he ling finish. Wants to be an ipa but falls just short. Not bad overall beer drinken experince. better than expected.
