3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 lamas (1071) - Washington DC, USA - APR 28, 2012
Bottle. Different label than that in the picture. Purchase before: 02/12. A slightly hazy copper pour with a smallish beige head. There is a relatively subtle aroma of caramel, earth, grassiness, and hints of lemons. A light caramel maltiness is present upfront taste-wise. A sizable biscuity bitterness follows. Earthy. The finish is bitter, grassy, and lemony. Very drinkable, but rather unremarkable. A very "British" take on an APA.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 bmerz (233) - New York, USA - APR 15, 2012
Bottle. Reddish gold within initial decent head but nothing that lasts. It is a round plush hope aromas of barnyard funk and ripe fruit, most distinctly mandarin with a sweet malt and biscuit vein. It tastes like lightly sweet butter cookies and mandarin with a slightly bitter and astringent hoppy finish. The mouth feel is creamy but clean. It is a distinctly British take and much more flavorful and happening than you average American pale.

12oz bottle, best by May 2012. Clear orange-yellow color, thin off-white head fading to minimal. Metallic nose. Typical English-style hops on a malt base. Crisp, moderate carbonation. Light bitterness. An OK, drinkable pale ale.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dreadnord (330) - Castel Volturno, ITALY - JAN 23, 2012
pours light copper with minimal head. Nose is caramel malts and light hops. Nothing crazy. Taste is sweet, more sweet than a pale should be, it’s needs more hops to add better balance. Palate is smooth yet crisp. Aftertaste isn’t to long.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 badwhale (237) - Bitterville, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Pours a copper color with a sparse white head. Smells of malt, and doesn’t have much hop bite to it. Maybe a little citrus, and a malty aftertaste. Not the best pale ale.

12 oz bottle from a variety pack. Pours clear orange with a thick, long lasting white head and good amount of lacing. Aroma is of bready, caramel malt, with notes of citrus, pear and hints of hops. The body is medium, crisp. Taste is biscuit malt, citrus fruit and earthy hops. Long, earthy finish. Nice, session brew.
