COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Riptide white IPA is a beer brewed with a malt body similar to a Belgian style Wit with loads of torrified wheat. It’s hopped like an IPA, but we use a unique blend of Czech Saaz, French Strisselspalt, Calypso, Centennial and Cascade hops to create a big citrus nose and flavor with floral accents. To complete the feel of the wit style, we push the beer through our hopback which is loaded with Spanish sweet orange peel, Curaçao bitter orange peel, coriander, and a generous helping of hops. It’s fermented with a classic Belgian Wit yeast which provides all of the fruity and spicy notes you’d expect. We then blast the tank with our hop cannon which is loaded with Calypso, Strisselspalt, and Citra hops and more orange peel. The beer is then lightly filtered to retain all of the exceptional yeast character.

Dark gold with lacy white head; aroma softly hops; Flava is a perfect blend of Belgian white and an American IPA; notes of yeast; feels medium to slightly thick; findings dry and softly

Cask. Yellow/orange cloudy appearance, no head. Full body, moderate flavor, rich, rather flat mouthfeel due to low carbonation, acidity and alcohol, balanced, long palate. Mildly bitter, not dry, low acidity, balanced bittersweet and flavorful finish. Hoppy, herby, citrusy, ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Save On. Hazy orange gold with nice white head and lace. Orangy herbal coriander tangy wheaty aroma. Medium sweet mango peach fruitiness with wheat tangy and bitter herbal orangy long finish. Weird creamy "real ale" texture. Medium body a little thick for style (IMHO). The White IPAs I like so far are in the 5%-6% range. Much more refreshing and not so heavy.

Pours cloudy golden with a thick off-white head that settles to a thick ring and leaves lots of hanging, soapy and spotty lace. Nose involves orange, Belgian yeast spice, some pine, floral notes, some bubblegum. Fairly sweet, somewhat bitter. Medium to full bodied, fairly soft, a bit oily, juicy, with a long spicy finish. Decent brew, combines its elements well. Probably not something I’m going to reach for often. But for what it is, it’s all right.
