3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a light colored IPA with a puffy white head and some lacing. Snifter at Lizardville. The aroma was bigger blonde with coriander, orange zest, belgian yeasts, and grains. The taste was similar to a blonde with a little more hop backbone. Not bad but kinda of a weird style. Clean finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gold pour with thin white whispy head and slight lacing. A first whiff, it smells like a Belgian wit, with bitter orange peel, coriander, wheat, and yeast being predominant. The hops give it a citrus note, but it doesn’t show up until the backend of the flavor profile. Bigger than a typical wit/white, leading to a fuller mouthfeel. I appreciate what they’re doing here, but not all the flavors/aromas work together for me.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle from Xroads. Poured a clear bronze with a fizzy off white head. Aroma/flavor of Belgian yeast, cloves, corriander, banana, white pepper, lemon, grains, toast. Flavor is actually a step down and not as crisp and up-front as the aroma, but similar. Body is medium overall with average to slightly lighter carbonation and a quick flash of heat.

Pours a two-finger cream head that fades quickly leaving no lace. Cloudy pale amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Pine hop nose and flavor is pine hops, Belgian yeast and some orange rind, not as hoppy as an IPA. $2.15 for a 12 oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour from a 12oz bottle. Cloudy amber brew with thick white head that drops down to a small film, leaving excellent lacing. Nice aroma of fruit esters, grapefruit and sweet malts. Taste is sweet with orange overtones up front with a banana-ish fruit taste emerging towards the middle, a nice blend of Belgian style spice and citrusy grapefruit layers in towards the end of the swallow. Keeps a baseline orange and sweetness throughout. Ends clean and dry, no lingering overtones. Palate is excellent - the carbonation explodes (gently) on the tongue to give each sip a soft burst of energy. This is restrained and not markedly spicey/fruity like a Belgian or hopped up to the max like many IPAs - but in that restraint the brewer has managed a harmony of divergent tastes that really comes together and works well.
