COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Riptide white IPA is a beer brewed with a malt body similar to a Belgian style Wit with loads of torrified wheat. It’s hopped like an IPA, but we use a unique blend of Czech Saaz, French Strisselspalt, Calypso, Centennial and Cascade hops to create a big citrus nose and flavor with floral accents. To complete the feel of the wit style, we push the beer through our hopback which is loaded with Spanish sweet orange peel, Curaçao bitter orange peel, coriander, and a generous helping of hops. It’s fermented with a classic Belgian Wit yeast which provides all of the fruity and spicy notes you’d expect. We then blast the tank with our hop cannon which is loaded with Calypso, Strisselspalt, and Citra hops and more orange peel. The beer is then lightly filtered to retain all of the exceptional yeast character.

Meh. Ok beer. Aroma was very Belgian. Orange peel, yeast and coriander. More like a wit than a white IPA. Pour was a nice light gold with a one finger white head. Very hazy with a little sediment floating. Taste was way too spicy. The coriander and orange peel dominated and barely let any hops through. Very weak carbonation for this style. Almost tasted flat.

This one poured a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, and wheat. Flavor was ora.fry, earthy and yeast. Decent.

Bottle best by SEP0814. Nose is great fruit, very heavy citrus with peel but minimal rind, oily and juicy, faint caramel. Hazy orange with a beige head. Taste is somewhat sweet, only light bitterness if any at all, and all hop juice, it’s fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice, some mango and pear, very juicy as a new age IPA. Wheat and spice are minimized, really nothing here but fruit juice, refreshing fullish body with a slight pucker at the very end.

Poured from the bottle into a snifter. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small fluffy white head. Aroma is yeast, citrus, and licorice. Taste is heavy on tropical fruits (big presence of mango, peach, and grapefruit) and it has a floral note. The sweetness comes from the Belgian yeast. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Just a little more of a hop presence to knock down the sweetness and to make the beer dryer would cause this solid beer to be better.

Very enjoyable beer. Refreshing and fairly light despite the higher. Tropical fruit sweetness, citrus tang, hop bite. Good stuff.

Dark gold with lacy white head; aroma softly hops; Flava is a perfect blend of Belgian white and an American IPA; notes of yeast; feels medium to slightly thick; findings dry and softly

Cask. Yellow/orange cloudy appearance, no head. Full body, moderate flavor, rich, rather flat mouthfeel due to low carbonation, acidity and alcohol, balanced, long palate. Mildly bitter, not dry, low acidity, balanced bittersweet and flavorful finish. Hoppy, herby, citrusy, ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
