COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This year’s Siren Noire Imperial Chocolate Stout has been revamped. We’ve aged it for three weeks in bourbon barrels, which gives the beer darker notes of raisin and fig. We’ve also tripled the amount of chocolate nibs and added vanilla bean. A mix of dark malts gives Siren Noire a well-rounded body that is decidedly chocolatey—but without being extraordinarily sweet. Mt. Hood hops contribute a fruity hop profile, with notes of black currant.

Pours black with one finger of bubbly beige head into a snifter. No light comes through, even when held up to the light. Chocolate, bourbon and fig are all present in the nose. Quite nice. Bourbon hits first, with bittersweet chocolate strongly riding in the background throughout. Boozy at the end. Slick mouthfeel, not super carbonated. Pretty good stout.

Bomber->snifter. Black with thick tan head. A: dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, oak, molasses. T: vanilla, oak, malt, chocolate, slightly bitter boozy aftertaste. Good, but not great.

Bottle from Lazy Dog. Pours a dark brown with a sliver of light showing at the bottom of the glass with a slim layer of toffee colored head. Aroma comes off a bit in your face/nose with the coffee and chocolate wrestling with the boozy oak notes. Taste of pleasant chocolate with an alcohol undercurrent. Nicely unexpected.

On tap at lures, pour is black with low head. Aroma is sweet vanilla booze, taste is a rich dessert beer, Hugh chocolate and vanilla with a light booze finish, well done as a sweet dessert beer

Keg @ Sedona. Deep brown tiny head. The nose is pretty nutty. Loads of burnt caramel-roasted chestnut. Toffee, cocoa. Inky ashes wood, licorice. Dark chocolate flavors. Slight heat. Brown sugar. Full body, smooth. Actually pretty tasty.

Bottle: Pours black, rubied, with a small, dark head. Chocolate malt aroma....big time.... Sweet, cocoa powder flavor. Very good, but nearly too sweet.

Bottle. Chocolate syrup malt aroma. Dark chestnut with minimal head. Sweet chocolate syrup malt flavor. Light hay finish. Very sweet but not quite cloying.

Pours a heavy black with a thin tan head. Aromas of chocolate and marshmallow. Taste is smooth chocolate milkshake. Creamy. Not much barrel influence. Some dark fruits, but the chocolate is what really shines. Not too sweet. Slight alcohol burn. This beer is criminally underrated, perhaps due to the reputation of its brewery. Drink this beer.

Very chocolate beer! I think the aroma is outstanding, very dark looking and deceiving. I was expecting a thicker palate just because of how dark but I would compare it to Coors Lite. I swear I get more of a raspberry/chocolate taste than anything else. All in all not a bad beer but it is too "fru-fru" for me personally.

Sampled at esbls. Black not a lot of aroma but a rich sweet flavor. Very complex. Chocolate. Very smooth and sweet. Only a little whiskey. Tasty stuff.
