COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This year’s Siren Noire Imperial Chocolate Stout has been revamped. We’ve aged it for three weeks in bourbon barrels, which gives the beer darker notes of raisin and fig. We’ve also tripled the amount of chocolate nibs and added vanilla bean. A mix of dark malts gives Siren Noire a well-rounded body that is decidedly chocolatey—but without being extraordinarily sweet. Mt. Hood hops contribute a fruity hop profile, with notes of black currant.

22 oz bomber poured in snifter. Siren noire is rich brown black with a thin head of light tan bubbles. The nose is solid rich dark chocolate. Taste is a hint of sweet on the fore with the chocolate cacao nib bitterness coming through on the finish. Roasted malt provides a decent backbone. Body is smooth and silky. A very well done imperial stout.

Pours a dark brown to black colour with a toffee colour head. Aroma is of chocolate, coffee malt, vanilla, and bourbon. Flavor is roasted malts, a bit of chocolate and caramel and a nice blend of alcohol and sweet vanilla. Medium bodied with light carbonation and a sweet finish.

Draft from the source. Pours nearly pitch black with medium head and soapy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, bakers chocolate, and vanilla beans. Flavors are the same with the most luxurious dark chocolate truffle amidst some pecan and a dash of spice from the bourbon. The epitome of a desert beer. Astonishing.

Draft at 80/20 burger bar. Pours a deep brown color with a creamy light brown head. Aroma is light, sweet chocolate milk, touch of roasted malts. Flavor is much more pleasant, big chocolate, vanilla, milk. Not much bourbon, but still a delicious beer!

2013 bottle..pours a dark black with a tan head that eventually dissipates...nose is pretty solid with tons of chocolate..bourbon notes..vanilla slight coconut..mouthfeel is velvety smooth..medium bodied indeed that produces slick buttered rum soaked bourbon taste profile..solid finish all around, tasty not overly boozy bourbon stout..this is a smooth offering.

Pours from a bottle a deep brown black with a khaki head. Aroma is of bourbon, baker’s chocolate. Flavor is rich: chocolate, fig, vanilla-oaky-bourbon. A nice alcohol. Well-balanced roasty sweetness with a hit of delicate burnt bitterness. Nice full mouthfeel. A very good beer. If I keep drinking more of it I might have to rate it higher.

Bottle. Pours black with a one finger tan head that left spotty lacing.Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, oak and vanilla. Flavor was sweet with oaky bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, dark fruit and some subtle coffee. Smooth texture, full body, fine carbonation.

Pours a jet black color with no lacing or head retention. Smells of vanilla and bourbon. Tastes like bourbon right up front with a vanilla and caramel finish. A very solid beer, and one that I would look for again.

Pours hazy and thick dark blackish with minimal tan head. Nose was dark malts, woody bourbon, cacao, hops, prunes. Tasted thick and rich, with a dark malt and oaky bourbon flavor up front, then some molasses, hops, vanilla, and cacao as it warmed. Very good.

Not super memorable. Pours black with food head and lacing. Oak barrel is overdone here. Bitter finish. Some dark chocolate. Tap at smoke and barrel.
