3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2005 bottle. Fine bubbles rise vigorously to create a large, long-lived fluffy white head atop a bright goldenrod colored body. Pils malt and some grassiness in the nose, with a rather sugary feel to it. Quite sweet to begin, in flavor, but lager yeast and awesome grassy hoppiness prevail upon the uber malt. I like this, I’m not afraid to admit it. Probably ageable for a year too. Light spices, some hay, bit of vanilla. Medium-full body. Low, natural carbonation. Bit of apricots on the end.

Bottle, poured a dark yellow with a small white quickly fading head. Floral aroma. Hops on the taste , for 7% did not really taste it.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours golden and a bit cloudy. Tastes malty and a bit sweet for a pilsner. Good flavor and nice finish. Really drinkable beer for a 7% alcohol content. You can really see the bock side of the beer come out. A nice combination.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Came from the tap a light amber color with a thin white head. Moderate sweet malt essence with a light citrus hop finish. Refreshing taste considering the alcohol content.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. Fresh before June 05 on label. Poured out a darker shade of straw yellow. It has a thin, fast fading white head, that left a slight layer of frothy foam on top of the beer itself. Aromas are mostly of lager yeasts, slightly musty. Some lemony aromas here, not appropiate for the style. My guess is that they used stale grain to brew this beer. Medium mouthfeel, nothing special there. Finished too lemony for my liking. Needs serious work, and fresher ingredients.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A wonderful pils. Fantastic aroma of fragrant mild hops and a touch of lemon. To quote Michael Jackson, "it’s frighteningly drinkable". At 7% alcohol this one can sneak up on you though. An example of perfect hop use.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 8, 2005 Holy crap, I loved this beer on draught. A definate surprise as I had ordered it after a wonderful scotch ale, expecting something crisp and light, never having heard of this beer beforehand. What I got was a very complex concoction, lots of floral hop aroma, nice and bubbly, very thick and full bodied. I loved it!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep bright golden with a thick frothy and well-lacing white head. Aroma boast lots of fresh European hops and a nice sweet malty backing. Starts with a light pale malty sweetness with some green, resiny, earthy hoppiness and a dry sticky, semi-bitter finish. A nice double-pils.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours an abundant white head on a crystal golden body. Spicy hop aroma. Flavor is well balanced blend of malt and sharply bitter hops. Clean aftertaste; a bit of bitterness left on the tongue. Medium bodied. Pretty good.
