COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

Beautiful clear deep golden with a thick white head. Herbal, grassy, grainy lemony nose. Very malty, crisp and pretty sweet. Like the aroma, the taste has notes of grain, grass, herbs, lemon and a good dosage of pilsner-y hops. The alcohol content is very well hidden. Moderately bitter aftertaste. Very full, round, smooth and creamy on the palate with a nice medium level of carbonation. Lacing hangs in sheets, good head retention. Looks like this improved over last year’s. Good stuff.

12 oz bottle. Golden and clear, with a lasting white head.Clean big malt and noble hop aroma, with a definite lager yeast note. Big and malty flavor with a nice noble hop flavor and bitterness. Has a German character to it....a hoppy maibock? I like this a lot.

Bottle. Interesting beer. Amber in color with a nice head. A very complex beer. Went well with Jap food. Very well balanced with hops and malt. Nice mouthfeel. Medium bodied beer. Very hoppy with citrus hops. Nice.

a lot of head. a very dark complex beer. i could get both the hops and the malts in this. And the percentages seemed to change with every taste.

This poured a clear golden yellow with a good-sized foamy white head. This quickly falls to a collar and leaves a little lacing. Aroma contains citrus hop scents, a bit of an earthy tone and the malt shows through as it warms. Tastes a bit sweet at first then it is followed by a spicy citrus hop flavor to balance it out a bit. The finish is a little bitter and also slightly warming. Mouthfeel is medium and this goes down quite smooth. Makes for a pretty good session beer even at 7%.

Deep golden color, good head and lacing. Sugary malts and light hops in the aroma. Body is thicker, but seems to consist mostly of sweet candy malts. They call this an Uber Pils on the label - they forgot to add enough hops to keep up with the almosty cloyingly sweet malts - it ends up tasting almost like a malt liquor with a pepper finish. I’m not saying this was a bad beer, I just think they could’ve done better.

Clear golden coloured body with almost no head. Light maltiness in the aroma with some hops and some light sugars. Light-bodied; Somewhat hoppy with a bit of malt-VERY bland! Aftertaste very clean and dissapointing. Overall, NOT good: but good to try the rarity. I sampled this pint on draught at RFD in Washington, D.C. on 20-June-2004 with JonR888710 & Haddon90.

Medium gold, clear and bubbly. Sweet, slightly grassy and some light notes of lemon and floral hops. An interesting blend of lager character and pils citrus/crispness that works well for me.

Pours a crystal clear, deep gold color. The carbonation is slight and the head is an off-white when it is roused. A sharp strong aroma of hops emanates from my glass; it is grassy, herbal, lemony, and slightly funky. The taste is soft and malty up front, but leads to a solid hop flavor and then to a bitter finish. I get notes of toasted biscuits, spicy-herbal hops, and hay all mixed together. This is a pretty good example of a Pilsner, and it is quite tasty on this warm Arizona evening.

Pours clear dark gold with a huge white head. Aroma of medium malt, hops, citrus. Tastes malty, with hops, citrus, and some honey and even candi sugar at the finish. Palate is medium with a crisp finish. This was called an uber pils on the label, and I’m glad I sniffed out the candi sugar in this. I can’t believe it was 7% alcohol! I was going to say, "very full bodied and ballsy for a pils", but instead I will say, "A well made European strong lager".
