COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Style: Über Pils ABV: 7% IBUs: 35 Availability: Year-round Hops: Warrior, Palisade, French Strisselspalt, Saaz, Simcoe, Cascade Malts: 2-row, Munich, Caramalt Arguably our most well-balanced beer, Small Craft Warning seems at once hop-forward and malt-forward; our brewers debate over which flavor force prevails in the beer. Small Craft exemplifies a robust pilsner—it’s crisp, well-carbonated, and slightly sweet. The beer is characterized by a firm malt backbone and a pronounced hop character. A fine aroma, from an array of hops, completes this quaffable beer.

Pours a translucent copper / orange with decent head. Nose of sweet malts. Taste of some malt with bitterness and alcohol on the finish. Very good - more complex and tastier than the typical pils. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

For seven percent, it’s very smooth. Not spicy like most pilsner, it’s crafted to go down easy with more body than the macro brewers provide. I might enjoy more complexity, but still, would drink again.

Perfectly fine pils from Heavy Seas, although I feel like other styles of theirs are more reliable.

Bears little resemblance to a lager with a thick creamy body and a rounded slightly fruity character. Very low on both aromas and flavors. Some alcohol warming in the chest but no alcohol flavor despite strength.

4 oz draft pour at Heavy Seas Alehouse in Baltimore. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of sweet malt, honey, light floral notes. Tastes of sweet malt, caramel, tropical fruit, honey. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation.

Transfer from BA review on 9-6-12 - Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a clear golden-amber color with a thick one finger white head. The head has fantastic retention eventually fading to give nice lacing. Smell – The smell is bready and sweet. A caramel and toffee sweetness mixed with a biscuit maltiness. There is also a light hoppy aroma as well, although this is very light. Taste – A smooth bready and doughy flavor meets the tongue. There is a lighter caramel sweetness up front that grows stronger more toward the middle of the taste. In the middle the sweet and bready taste create a rather smooth sweetness. At the end a very light hoppy flavor of an earthy and citrus nature as well as some alcohol flavor comes to combine with the rest of the flavors. While perturbing the smooth taste of the brew, it did bring an element of change and ended up leaving a somewhat pleasing Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was rather creamy with only a light carbonation level. Very nice for the smooth bready flavors of the beer. Overall – It is a very tasty and soothing brew with some nice sweet bready flavors. One to sit back and enjoy.

Purchase by December 2013. Uh, oh. 12oz bottle poured into stange. Lovely auburn color with thin white head that quickly fades. No lacing. Aroma indicates oxidation, but caramel malt comes through. Flavor is pleasantly malty, however tinny oxidation is hard to get over. Medium body, creamy texture, lower carbonation, semi-dry finish. Drank a quarter and then drain poured, but would definitely give a fresh one a shot.

Sweet fruity aroma. Thin head on a clear dark amber body. Malt and fruit smooth taste.A sense a crispness in the background which gives it some character. Has a nice clean finish.

Pours a light amber color with a hoppy aroma. Taste is mildly fruity with a malty backbone. The flavors quickly disappears after the swallow but an earthy banana flavor is left behind. The malt is clean, smooth and is refreshing.

12 ounce bottle. Orange like body. Surprisingly sweet. Fruity esters. Pretty malty for a pils. Hmmmmmmm.
