3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy gold with basically no head. Aroma not super strong (though Iím suffering from a bit of congestion), but the lime and orange is noticeable, not grapefruit like most hoppy beers. Again, the flavor is citrus with out resorting to the grapefruit and peel flavor of strong pils or IPAís. Has just a bit of that lemon peel bite on the back end, ending with the slightest hint of Brazil nut. Iím really not getting the malt that other reviews report for whatever reason. Surprisingly heavy feel for a pils or a lager, wading into brown ale territory. Iím not a huge fans of pilsner style beers, but this has enough stuff going on to make it interesting. Yea, this is good.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle). Thanks to Sharon and Doyle. Nice golden-amber complexion with white head and modern carbonation. Interesting mix of Bock and Lager with hops. Sort of a confused flavor.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours medium orange with a thin off white head which fades to just a little lacing. Aroma is of toasted malts, citrus, pine, caramel, sweet malts, light floral hops, some light spicy hops, and some grassy hops. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium-full body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, semi dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a decently tasty, well balanced imperial pils that is a tad too sweet for my tastes.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
More creamy and floral than most pils. Amber orange color. Pale malt and big floral notes. Full mouthfeel for a pils. Okay stuff.

Orangene Farbe. Malzig-fruchtiger Geruch. Sehr lieblicher Geschmack. RestsŁŖ mit OrangeneindrŁcken. Kein Pils, eher ein tropischer Bock.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sehr lecker, aber kein Pils: fruchtiges Hopfenaroma mit etwas Malz. Geschmack zuerst, relativ sŁŖ, spšter kommt auch der Hopfen mit durch. Sehr fruchtig.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Apricot pour, nice white head. Floral, lemony pils hops, bready aroma with notes of prunes and berries. Flavor is zesty noble hops with fruity malt kick.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is oily. Citrus. Lemon orange. A subtle spicy nice like a black pepper.
Looks fine. Hazy pumpkin color. Little head.
Taste is like the smell. Subtle hop oils on the palate but not too bad. Subtle peppery note. Orange. Alcohol on the finish. Malty finish.
Palate is light medium body. Carbonation is smooth. Taste is smooth.
I am surprised at how solid this beer is. Not anything I would go out of my way to buy but a solid beer to drink.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours an amber color. The head is a one finger off-white shade with a nice, creamy texture. While the retention isnít the best, it does leave some lacing behind on the glass.
S: Itís kind of hard to decide whatís in the aroma. Okay, I pick up some floral hops, and maybe some herbs, as well. Oh, and some nondescript citrus tones. The malts in particular are too strange for me to like this aroma. A shame.
T: If the aroma was somewhat indecipherable, then the flavor is almost totally indecipherable. I get wisps of defined notes - herbs, grass, citrus, ginger, malt - in random places, but nothing that pops out. This beer is messy and, frankly, not very good. Itís also metallic.
M: Full and creamy, yet not too sweet. Normally, Iíd enjoy that, but since I donít like the flavor, itís hard to approve of the mouthfeel, either. Carbonation could be a little stronger.
O: Meh. Every once in a while sipping this, Iíll think "hey, itís a decent brew", and then the next sip later, I go back to think "meh, donít like this very much". And there are even some sips where I consider a drainpour. Luckily, I toughed this one out - and I can safely say this is the only one Iíll tough out.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
For seven percent, itís very smooth. Not spicy like most pilsner, itís crafted to go down easy with more body than the macro brewers provide. I might enjoy more complexity, but still, would drink again.

Perfectly fine pils from Heavy Seas, although I feel like other styles of theirs are more reliable.
