COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When we decided to resurrect the Big DIPA, we knew that we needed to make it bigger and better. We’ve brought the beer back with the same 10.5%ABV as before, the same massive amounts of hops as before, but this time, we’ve aged it on oak spirals. Oak spirals suspended in solution allow more surface area to come into contact with the beer increasing the oak presence without increasing exposure time. This results in a smoother oak flavor and further compliments the extraordinary hop characteristics. Cheers!

22oz bottle (Uncharted Waters series - 2013) in a tulip. Pours deep ruby/copper with a big, lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops, alcohol, a little vanilla, and some caramel malts. Flavor about the same, with too much alcohol for this style. Smooth texture. Not a bad beer, but something was off.

22 oz bottle - pours golden-orange, medium white head, decent lacing. Aromas of oranges, citrus hops, and vanilla. Taste is all hoppy citrus up front, with a nice background of vanilla, maple and brûlée. Medium-full bodied, smooth finish. Very good.

Tap. Pours clear amber with average, creamy off-white head; good retention and spare lacing. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malts, citrus and floral hops, apples, berries, light caramel, and light vanilla. Flavor is balanced sweet malts and floral hops with supporting berry esters, light booze, and some toast; dry, bready finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

This was one delicious double ipa. Very heavy beer with a thick feel. Poured a dark golden almost orangish color. Very happy with a big malt backbone perfectly balanced

Bottle. Not a beer I would buy again. Not terrible-but not great either.
