3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Oceans & Ale in Williamsburg, VA. Copper in color with a decent off-white head. Aroma is of bread dough, caramel, citrus and spicy hops. Taste is of toast, toffee, and citrus with a wonderful hop finish.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I liked this definitely a good example of a winter warmer. Slight hops but not really much mostly malty. Carmel notes and a good bit of sugar dominate the body that linger through the finish. Good winter beer.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Aroma has malt in the forefront and dominates the flavor with big bitterness at the end. This was a bit much for me and not my favorite style.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. A clear brown beer with good head retention and lacing. Aroma is full and fresh sweet malty ripe dark fruit with a bit of butter. Some pine and funky NW hops are in there as well. Flavor is sweet malty at first but dries quickly to a long bitter finish. Slick and sticky palate. Pretty well constructed. Nothing I love about any individual element but it works together.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Pours clear copper with thick off-white head; good lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops, spice, caramel, and toasted malt. Flavor is initially hoppy and bitter (floral and grapefruit tastes) which is then balanced out by sweet malt (bread and slight caramel) notes. Medium body and carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a small fizzy beige head that left some nice lacing. The nose is a balance between toasted malts and a floral hoppiness, leaning towards the malty side. Certainly malt leaning on the flavor, but finishes with a moderate spicy hop note and some lingering bitterness. The more I have the more the underlying sweetness emerges and gets a little tiring. Medium bodied, a bit clingy, with fizzy forced carbonation. Not bad at first, but I quickly got bored with it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a full bodied and full-flavored beer. There is a generous and balanced helping of both hops and malts, a changing fruitiness, and sutle spices. Seems to be approaching flavors similar to a barleywine. Very good.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was a very good winter warmer, and I will make it a yearly ritual to have some of these stashed away for those cold winter nights.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Had on cask at Nicholsonís in Cincinnati.
Arrived a clear ruby with a small head. Excellent lacing.
The smell was full of floral/citrus hops. Some caramel malt as well.
The flavor is very hop forward. Wonderful citrusy hops dominate throughout with a quite assertive bitterness. Malt notes come in at the end and linger.
This is a great beer and one that I am thrilled I got to try on cask. Will definitely seek out again.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap - Big foamy head, medium copper color, mild malt aroma, nice balanced flavor - nothing outstanding, but not bad
