Nice clear pour, with fluffy white head. Great piney hop aroma. The flavor strikes a good balance of earthy hops and caramel maltiness. Quite drinkable.

Poured a clear brownish amber. The nose was hoppier than I expected, as was the other Clip City ale I had (loose cannon). Woh, a lot more bittr than I expected, too. Not very smooth, but thatís OK. Medium character. Sweet maltiness is pretty subtle. Overall, a slightly better than average brew.

Yellow-beige head w/ light lacing. Hoppy aroma with tea and grass. Pours a dark honey color. Flat hoppy flavor with clinging palate, not very smooth. Tea aftertaste. Not the best I’ve had from Clipper.

Deep copper color, thin head with a malty, somewhat hoppy aroma. The mouth is full and sweet, with a background bitterness. Slight fruitiness and a moderately bitter fadeout. So far the Heavy Seas line is impressive for itís attempts, but somewhat of a letdown in the results. Still recommended though.

A lovely brew. Well knit flavours reveal plenty of toffee and toast in the malt and a pretty nice dose of ESB bitterness. The colour is rich pretty brown matched with hints of coffee and and peppery spice. yum.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poors a dirty brownish gold with a large foam head that is a off white color. Appears to be unfiltered. Smells of sweets hops, like itís loaded with them. There is also some citrus in the smells as well. Taste is a well balanced mix of malt and hop. These are the commanding elements but other aspects such as toffee and caramel kind of add to the malt. Mostly this just taste like a bitter ale. Itís good a good winter warmer type of beer I feel the 7.5%abv in my chest and not in my mouth. Dry malty finish, malt is quiet dark with notes of toffee.

Pours beautifully with a gorgeous foamy head. Glass laces nicely as I drink. The aroma is full of citrius and hop flavor. The taste is of toasted malt and citriusy hops with a lot of spice! This beer finishes bitter with a lot of warmth. A good winter beer!

12oz bottle. Pours nice amber, crystal clear with small tan head that somehow held on till the end. Nice lace. Smells like and tatses like a Imperial IPA but billed as a ESB. I donít care what they call it, I love it. Nice malt at the end that lingers and overtakes the initial hoppiness. Everything this brewer makes is worthy, this is no exception.

Winter Storm is a good balance. I bought it in a variety pack and thought it was a nice winter ale
