JB175 (1420), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 3, 2008 Plum color with lots of yeasties in suspension. Aroma is dominated by some raisin with a bit of brown sugar and bread. Flavor is sweet and bready - lots of sugar, dark fruit, and caramel/slightly sweet candy. Thinner mouthfeel. Good and unique, but this is mediocre relative to the better Heavyweight beers that were made.

(220808) Rciesla (1136), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Oct 31, 2008 Bottle, i must have got the most infected bottle of all time. This ruby brown bottle was gushing when opened by the bartender at eulogy. Aroma is salt, oxidization, wet paper, and funk. Flavor, i cant even tell you 2 sips before i had to drain pour dam i was excited about this one too, anyone got a good bottle to share? seriously had consistency of almost ready jello. JMFG (1202), Florida, USA Sep 27, 2008 Courtesy SoLan. Caramel color with a thin, sparse off-white head. Mild sweet dark fruit on the aroma, some grain. General sweetness on the taste, dark fruits again, but not much of a Belgian character to it really. Pretty basic. Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 25, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Pours a very cloudy reddish with a small rough off-white head. Aroma has overripe fruits and some alcohol. Medium-bodied, sweetish overripe fruitiness and some oxidization. A little low in carbonation. Has a light underlying acidity. 220808 yngwie (3762), Kristiansand, Norway Sep 5, 2008 Bottle, shared by papsoe. It pours a hazy brown body under a quite small beige head. The beer is probably past it’s prime, but still in good condition, even though there’s evident oxidation in both aroma and flavor. It has a malty, roasted aroma and flavor with dried fruits and caramel. A little sourish touch towards the finish, which is malty and caramel tasting. Full to medium body and pleasant level of carbonation. A nice beer that is hard to categorize. (080822)
