pepsican (645), the beer wastelands of, Iowa, USA May 12, 2008 Big thanks to that jerk iowaherkeye. No matter what I bring to a tasting he seems to always outclass me and bring something amazing like this gem. Thanks joey! Ruby pour with a thin off white head. Aroma is very sweet malts and candy sugar. Flavor was also really sweet caramel, brandy, sherry, smoke, brown sugar. Again, almost cloyingly sweet finish. Definitely a sipper, but I could sip for quite awhile.

Dark dense brown pour with a beige, light tan head and no lacing. Smell is earthy and sweet malt with a touch of alcohol. Flavor is a bit too sweet and boozy for me but I can see where it is going. Flavor has some tree bark-like aspects in there which are an interesting match to the high sweetness. Overall, pretty good.
