4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thanks to paul for sending me this i was able to enjoy someing from a brewery that is no longer around. This beer was very merky and cider like with no head nor was there any laceing to it. The aroma was an intence fruit and sour apple with that funk that you would normaly get in a gueze, kind of barn yard like. As you drink it there was an intence bitterness which was nice with lots of apple and cherry followed by that salty funky gueze like flavor which lasted for a while. The palate was nice and strong and the salty apple flavor lasted for a while after the beer went down your throat. This is a very nice beer to casually drink with dinner.

7-21-06 Medium brown, reddish highlights, ring of bubbles for head. Big bretty funk and cherry sourness in aroma. Flavor falls completely flat. slight sour kick in the beginning fades to nothing. Thin and watered down. Everyone said these were peaking right now?

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, courtesy of Eclectic. Dark clear bronze with a white ring around the glass. Aroma of brett plus a hint of what I can only describe as somewhat rotten fruit. Notes of brett/barnyard, sourness, tart cherry fruitiness, a hint f lemon and some toastiness. Light bodied - well attenuated with light carbonation. Interesting stuff.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
(11/3/07, 750ml bottle, thanks eclectic) Minimal beige head with clear copper body. Aroma is medium sweet, brett, caramel, brown sugar, some cherry, light Bourbon, cinnamon. Taste is medium sweet, brett/cherry, caramel. Medium body with no carbonation. Alas, I fear that this beer is showing its age.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2009 Raisin colored red and brown body with no head. Inviting and interesting nose of bourbon, wood, liqueur, and the chewiness of Munich malts. Sweet, pale, peppery on the tongue, then turns a little lactic with a mildly stinging spiciness. A bit thin in the back, but otherwise it’s a crazy-good beer. Weird stuff, but good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 750. Reddish brown and mainly clear pour. Rotten banana peel, old cherries, and bretty funk aroma. Pungent and slightly awkward. Fully soured flavor retaining that trashy stink; banana sugars, cocoa powder, lemon juice. Strange, and intensely acidic; juicy palate is undercarbonated with a soft acetic bite. Finishes with old orange juice, more brett, and a subdued lick of salt on the very back end. The affliction of that foul disposition never fully resigns itself, but altogether this remains an interesting example, satiating in its own somewhat foreign way. Thanks for sharing, Kevin!
