Commercial Description:
Leftovers ... We aged some Chuck (sort of a brown-bretty) in wooden barrels with sour cherries for six months. It emerged with a somewhat subdued brett presence but tastes more like a flemish sour. 6.4% abv. (33 cases in 750ml)

I think slob may have sent me this many moons ago. Thanks so much to whoever should get the credit. Look through my trade history, I’m sure it’s there. Everyone here is great BTW! This bottle was taped with electrical tape on the cap and refrigerated since the day I got it. Muted sour apple aroma. Slightly tart flavor, very smooth. I’d drink another!

Hazy red with an interesting red head. Slight sour in the nose. Sour. Little bit of brown depth. Smooth on the tongue.

Bring on the sour ales! This one poured a murky brown color. The aroma contains some vinegar, brown sugar, and cherries. I detected some sweet notes in this one but overall it stayed true to its sour roots. The woody presence is definitley there with some cherries and other malty goodness. I think this has aged ok. Overall a nice beer.

Shared with emerica56. Had this at a BYOB sushi bar, and I must say it paired nicely. Pours a murky redish brown with no head at all. The aroma had that familiar barnyard funk with suggestions of sour apple, raisin, and fig. The flavour had a similar funkiness, mostly in the finish and aftertaste, with tart cherries, bourbon, salt, leather, sour apples, cinnimon (strange) and caramel malt sweetness. When paired with sushi, the salty flavour of the beer, when combined with fish and and soy sauce, gives way to fruity sweetness and a lambic-like tartness, rounding out the palate with all the elementary flavours. This made for a great table beer.

Thanks to paul for sending me this i was able to enjoy someing from a brewery that is no longer around. This beer was very merky and cider like with no head nor was there any laceing to it. The aroma was an intence fruit and sour apple with that funk that you would normaly get in a gueze, kind of barn yard like. As you drink it there was an intence bitterness which was nice with lots of apple and cherry followed by that salty funky gueze like flavor which lasted for a while. The palate was nice and strong and the salty apple flavor lasted for a while after the beer went down your throat. This is a very nice beer to casually drink with dinner.
