A brown/red pour with a bit of tan head and lace. A light sour and roasted malt. Sour maltiness and a hinto choco. Very sour. Thin and fizzy.

Advertised as Mojo (Chuck without brett)... Poured a hazy brown color with a small off white head and light lacing on the glass. Caramel, toffee and oak aroma. Sweet caramel, roast, and finishing a light, grassy, bitterness, though also rather dry and earthy. Just OK, I would imagine the post-brett Chuck is better.

Dusty brown-gold. Nose is yeasty and mildly sour, some caramel and a bit of coriander. Taste is sour and funky, then suddenly toasty at the end. Seems like it transforms from one beer into another in the middle, odd transition. Not a particularly unified drinking experience.

Draft @ Blind Tiger. Murky brown color with aroma of butter, malt and coriander and white pepper. Taste is too buttery for my liking but Tom said it tasted how it was supposed to, so there ya go. Light and drinkable and I’d have more if it wasn’t so buttery.

On Tap at the Blind Tiger Ale House in NYC, Nov. 2004: Dark brown color, creamy head, veggie nose, also malt and candy in the nose. Light bread and malt taste - also Celery comes through - weird and not my taste.

MIBRomeo (2109) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 5, 2005
cloudy copper color w/ a large spongelike off white head. Smells a bit rank at first an odd sour smell very tart reminded me of a lambic. Palate is highly tart ok carbonation and not much body. Flavor is initially tart w/ a touch of fruiteness breaks into a more herbal flavor w/ some odd hops after the initial bit wares off. Overall the flavor was pretty mild and it was a solid beer in the flemish style.

On Tap: I don’t know - seems like I have bad luck with some Heavyweight brews. Maybe they don’t travel well and I always get a bad sample. This one looks good - dark ruby-amber color with a low tight head. But the nose is of sour milk and vegetables. Stale roasted - even smokey - grain tastes. Some alcohol peaking through with a gritty mouthfeel. Thick, complex but not successful.
