COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lunacy is brewed exclusively with Belgian Pilsner malt, Styrian and English Goldings hops and freshly ground coriander. It begins its life with a long patient boil and is cast into the fermenter at 17.5 P. It then undergoes a vigorous fermentation and extended cold conditioning. After bottling, the beer receives an additional 2 week warm rest before it is released. This yields a surprisingly refreshing brew with spicy notes, sweet malt and subtle fruit.

Hazy yellow blonde, off-white head, some lacing. Nose of fresh grains, some [something] hops and papaya. Soothing, clean and lightly husky with a moderate body and a brief tail of a finish. Nice mouthfeel.

Cloudy storm, citrus orange with smallish white crown. Aroma is full of sweet malts, touch of yeast and soft saaz like hops. Body was full, juicy similar to Bock beers followed by Belgian kick of alcohol and spiced yeast. Fruity, alcoholic finish.

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (cereal), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (mold, cobwebs), with notes of banana and plastic. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Too sweet, poor aroma, alcohol-heavy...what were they thinking?

Pours a hazy golden with a minimal head. Aroma is spicy malty and a wierd herbal phenolic almost medicinal aroma. Flavor is malty sweet with a good amont of pheonolics and a bit of DMS but otherwise earthy and spicy and an off aftertaste. The finish is a bit off and harsh. I didnt like this one very much.

had a bottle of this at the grey lodge. quite an earthy aroma, with some clove and pepper. some brown sugar sweetness quickly yields to yeast tang, some baking soda, stewed apple, lightly lactic, interesting but a little flat

Bottle: Slightly hazed golden hue with a fading but lasting fizzy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of corriander, leafy and fruity hops, bready malting, airy yeast esters, and a touch of belgain sugar. The taste starts spicy and moderately sweet with a fruity undertone. I found that the finish is dry and a bit hot. The feel is lively, aggressive, and leaves a warming feeling after finishing the drink. Good and should have some potential to age out. Would like to see what this is like in a few years.

Ahh. My life the last few weeks, summed up in one simple word. Cloudy straw color with a tall light cream colored head. Aromas of light honey and freshly cut weeds on the side of the road. Plastic and fruity esters abound. Light and creamy on the front followed by a full wave of carbonization. A lightness that is quite welcome and somewhat refreshing. Quite sweet in flavor with mild honey coated scones. Light spice in the finish and linger. Some pale grain flavors a found in the middle and have a hint of peppermint. Some huskiness remains to the finish along with some licorice. Some unrefined moments and sharp edges retrain this on, but still a nice slightly warming, borderline strong ale.

Medium orange color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet with a touch of coriander and banana esters. A medium bodied Belgian ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, lots of banana and clove flavors. Coriander and clove. Lively carbonation. A touch yeasty. A nice not to complex Belgian. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Draught: Aroma of pepper, coriander, hops, citrus orange, and lemon. Poured golden/orange in color with a small white head. Good lacing. Hazy. Sparkling. Flavor og hops, honey, alcohol, pine, light spice, and graham crackers. Medium body. Medium-sticky, tingly texture. Average to lively carbonation. Sweet graham finish.
