xsupple419x (3), dickson city, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Oct 29, 2006 great beer i dont think they make it any more great after taste full of flavor Uglyradio (676), Greenville, South Carolina, USA Jun 20, 2003 On Tap at the Blind Tiger Ale House, NYC: This Belgian style ale pours a hazy golden color with a nice sized, white head. The head does not linger long but still leaves nice lacings on the glass. The aroma is sweet and spicy with a touch of coriander and exotic fruits. It has a medium body with moderate carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. The flavor is sweet with apricots and white grapes, and spicy with coriander. The finish is long, sweet, and a bit malty. This was a very nice version of a Belgian ale. booyaatribe (453), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 11, 2001 I first tried this one because
it was cheap, at least compared to
a real Belgian Blonde Ale. But it’s
quite convincing and tasty. Highly
recommended. And it’s from JERSEY! UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA Oct 2, 2002 Wow. I really wasn’t expecting this beer to be quite so good. Extra tasty, with a considerably fruity nose. Probably one of the best belgians not from Belgium. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Jul 1, 2003 Color is a dark golden yellow with a light maple brown tone, thin white head that faded fast to leave a good ring and sticky stringy and spotty lace. Smell is much like a dubble with lots of dark fruits and tangy malts, dulled dark orange mostly with lemon, a bit spicey and pretty sweet and citrusy on the nose. Good sniffer.
Taste is mellowing orange and lemony flavors, nothing to bright or sour, pretty easy going sweet malts with light hops balanced in. Decent full body feel and texture mostly in the middle. Quite a decent offering, I'd have another again any time.
