3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This one is probably my favorite of the series and a very different take on the style. A cloudy yellow appearance with a moderate head. A peachy herbal aroma (yes I just said peachy). The flavor has a yeasty presence with a moderate bitter flavor. A lot of citrus mainly grapefruit and herbal notes. A saison for someone who loves APAs.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was quite interesting. Had this at Kpís this weekend. Donít know who brought it. INteresting idea for the style. The aroma was more faint than the other saison de la soeur styles. The flavor brought out a whop of corriander, orange zest, lemonpepper, and a touch of hops. Not overdone which was nice. Balanced well. yeasty and malty flavors round this one out. Not as much fruity flavors or funk as iím used to with my saisons. points for being different.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at Oakesí í05 Xmas Party
A plumy and lightly hoppy beer with some tangy Belgian yeast. Balanced flavor, drinkable and complex. Finishes grassy and clean. Nice interpretation of the style. The freshness of some hop styles complements a funky saison nearly as much as coriander and orange peel.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden beer, thin white head. Nice spicy yeast (reminding me of Unibroueís). Sweet pale malts, some toffee, cardamom, spice. Intoxicating aroma. Flavour however is quite thin and watery, peppery flavour. Didnít really come across all that hoppy for me. Meh.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy deep golden pour has a huge frothy dense-lacing white head. Dry, earthy, grassy and hoppy with some funky Belgian yeast in the nose. Body starts with a dry earthy hay and grassy yeasty flavor with a bittering hoppy finish. Authentic Belgian flavor and a good saison, although I prefer the Black and golden versions..

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice light straw color with a small carbonated head. The aroma is very interesting with floral hops and some fruit. The taste is very interesting wiht a good blend of hops that gives it a very nice balance. There are some fruity notes throughout but they are not very prevelant due to the hops. Good twist on a saison, hopefully Iíll come across the others...ironic I cantí find it and I live in NJ

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thanks Bert(slob). I love this beer. The color is wheat colored, hazy and not that appetizing. Small white head. Aroma is spicey, black pepper, citrus, grassy and somewhat fruity sweet(like a melon). I love the hops, Saaz, Hallertauer and cascade are apparent to me. I will have to go out and try to get a handle on the flavors provided by the East Kent and Brewers Gold. Tangy finish. I look forward to sharing my next bottle of it with some RB friends.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
750 mL bottle, snifter, #1735. Large, creamy, rocky white head rests on a hazy deep amber beer. *sniffs* *stares questioningly* So...thereís some moderate biscuit aromas in here but most of teh story is in the hops, which are quite diverse. Spicy, orange zest, grapefruit and a touch of pine. Musty, sweaty yeast profile. Some white grapes and other light fruits linger behind. Honestly, I canít say Iím seduced here. Light sweetness up front with some acidity and moderate bitterness. Finishes with a firm but cluttered bitterness. Medium bodied, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Not my bag, really. Iíve never been a fan of Brewers Gold or Cascade and thereís far too much for my tastes in here. In fact, EKGs donít always flip my switch either. The Saaz elements were nice though. Thanks Em.

Pours a cloudy light golden. Flowery nose w/lots of grassy hops. Med.-light body. Light sourness w/some oxidation. High fermentation profile. Dry bitterness. Very nice beer. Kind of a cross between DeRanke XX and Saison dupont.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Soapy, floral, lavender, herbal hop nose with some coriander-like spiciness. Opaque tan-brown body with immense, white, fine bubbled head that lasts well and coats the glass with lacing. Some yeast/protein in suspension. Earthy, floral, grassy, hops and yeasty notes to the flavour with a light citrus (grapefruit) character and fair finishing bitterness. Sharp, pointy, lively carbonation to the medium body. Bottle enjoyed with MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.
