legion242 (1520), Richardson, Texas, USA Jan 10, 2008 Lumpfest 2008- Yellow-orange color. Head was decent and effervescent. Nose was slightly sweet. Good moutyhfeel- lots of lovely bubbles. Small amount of tartness balanced nicely with some hops.
DA (2423), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 30, 2008 RBSG 2008. Sometime I really enjoy trying a beer and having no idea what the heck it is, this was one of them. Nice orange pour holding up a soft white head. Sweeter start to the flavor, but then quickly changes to a tart sour finish. What once was a citrus candy like flavor changes to tart cherries and bretty wild yeast goodness. fiver29 (305), Strongsville, Ohio, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bottle shared at Cleveland tasting on 8-23-08. Thanks!! Bottle pours orange with a off white head. Has a nice aroma of citrus fruits, apples, earthy tones, and some funk. The flavor is citrus fruit, candy sugar, and some funky yeast. Medium bodied and extremely carbonated that leads to a dry, bitter finish. There was a lot of carbonation in this one for an aged bottle, but it made things interesting. This was really good, and glad I got to try it.
jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Aug 21, 2008 750ml bottle-pours a retaining thin light tan head and hazy gold color. Aroma is light/medium malt, herbal. TURDFERGUSON (1136), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Aug 5, 2008 Bottle shared by eclectic at BCTC. Thanks Kevin! Pours yellow golden with a small off-white head. Nose and flavor have a good amount of funk that I like very much. A little bit of faded hops too. Delicious beer and so excited to try this.
