Sampled from 750ml bottle. Poured a deep and cloudy amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of lemon (almost lemon pledge), leather, pine, and spices. Tastes of leather, lemons, all around citric with some fruitiness.

Sampled on 7/15/06 at the RBSG ’06 Grand Tasting: Pours a hazy golden bronze with nicely-lacing frothy white head. Has a bready, funky, lightly sweet biscuity malty aroma. Body starts with a nicely balanced, sweet bretty, funky, dry and tart flavor with a smooth, lingering fresh earthy spiced finish. An enjoyable and complex brew.

***Re-rate*** Bottle... DLD’08... Cloudy, pale golden ale with a decently retained white head. Funky nose. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Acidic and sweet with lots of pale grain. Tangy, crisp finish. ***Original rating*** RBSG2006... Murky, golden ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Decent retention. Flemish, citric nose with lesser notes of pleasant spice and earthy, farmhouse characteristics. Malty-sweet, tangy flavor. Nice hop profile, but it doesn’t quite knock back all the honey-like sweetness. Medium-bodied and very fizzy. Mouthwateringly sweet finish, but not cloying.
