Bottle, bought in Poland. [thank you, Aga]
Pours a nice deep mahogany brown with a great staying small creamy head on top. Good duration, but limited lacing. Aroma is mildly sweet with nutty and caramel tones. Quite full and creamy. Flavour is very sugary sweet, light caramel. Not particularly nice, sadly. Far too sweet for me.

Rated: 25 November 2006. Bottle 500 ml, brown. It is a nice try but thank you. It tastes like coffie mixed with mild beer very much watered, some roastiness. Nice appearance, thick beautiful head simmilar to the one in a label, almost black body. Very nice bottle label. It gives an impression of elegance and proffesionalism, but I had expected much more from that beer and style: "Schwarzbier".

[Bottle from Anna Polski.] Nice surprise from Poland, but this bottle is from south down under. A lot of great schwarznotes, but a little thin mouthfeel for my taste.

Black colored, slight red hints. Little beige head. Nicely roasted coffee aroma with caramelly sweetness. Taste was roasty and a bit dark with some hints of chocolate up front a slight amount of caramel or possibly burnt caramel and finishes up with a roasty chocolate.

Bottle. Dark, malty, grainy. Lots of roastiness and cocoa. Very good. I am writing this all from memory after having the beer about a month ago. But, I will never forget how good this beer was. I find it extremely underrated on this site.

Quite good but tastless after a while, the foam is not like in the label. Very dark indeed, but nothing special.

Bottle. Black with a small head. Aromas are roast malts with nutty and dry with cocoa. Flavours are chocolate and bitter coffee with sweet dark syrup. Quite thick on the palate. Fairly decent.

Beese (1462) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 5, 2007
Pours a dark brown, near black colour with some light brown head, perhaps a little too fizzy, although that seemed to disipate. Quite nice dark chocolate aroma and a mellow chocolate taste that’s quite pleasant, but a bit too fleating. There’s very little aftertaste.

Dark and poured with no carbonation and quite flat.Straight forward with no complexity but still a nice beer.

500ml bottle from BeersOfEurope. A smooth, dark malty beer with a lot of soft milk chocolate flavours finished with a tang of metal. Polish dark lagers are quite pleasant. Quite creamy and milky. British little old ladies would love this stuff. Great fun.
