3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Gift from Hennie Groeneveld, who brought a 5-pack from Poland. Very dark colroed, firm head. Aroma has roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. A bit sugary. Medium bodied. Initial sweetness is attacked by some roasted malt and milk chocolate. Short espresso aftertaste. Straightforward but lovely beer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2006 The label says "first Polish black beer", I thought "Whoa, is this the first stout brewed in this country?" Unfortunately not, this is a dark dunkel style beer. Brown colour, big bubbly head. When I first tried it there was an unpleasant smell, very similar to the horrid Rejs beer by Jurand, the next time it felt much better. Quite good anyway
