500ml bottle from BeersOfEurope. A smooth, dark malty beer with a lot of soft milk chocolate flavours finished with a tang of metal. Polish dark lagers are quite pleasant. Quite creamy and milky. British little old ladies would love this stuff. Great fun.

6th Dutch Ratebeer Gathering. Black/reddish coloured. Hard to say what the aroma is. A bit chocolate like. It’s malty and a bit watery.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Koelschtrinker (8464) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 12, 2011
Test vom 1.10.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,7,10,9,12,8 - 8,50
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 thewolf (9829) - Kolding, DENMARK - FEB 10, 2008
Bottle, bought in Poland. [thank you, Aga]
Pours a nice deep mahogany brown with a great staying small creamy head on top. Good duration, but limited lacing. Aroma is mildly sweet with nutty and caramel tones. Quite full and creamy. Flavour is very sugary sweet, light caramel. Not particularly nice, sadly. Far too sweet for me.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 danielst (247) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUL 11, 2009
50cl bottle bought in Poland, 5.2% ABV, produced and bottled by Herrnbräu, Ingolstadt. Dark red with an off-white head, rather bad retention. The aroma shows caramel, roasted malt and a slightly bloody metallic tang. The caramel continues in the flavour, yet the beer finishes surprisingly dry. The mouthfeel and flavour are on the thin/watery edge, which is not so sexy.

Bottled. Orange-brown, small head. Sweetish, fruity and caramelly. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Buttery and mildly roasty. Low bitterness.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Cornfield (5276) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - DEC 26, 2006
The other beers that I’ve had from Browary Warmińsko-Mazurskie Jurand were interesting in some way, shape, or form. This dunkel looks nice, a dark brown body with red highlights and a sudsy light brown head. But the light aroma of dark caramel with some drops of old coffee is way too cloyingly sweet for me. It’s a thin, watery brew and the flavor is very light, sweet caramel, a suggestion of chocolate, and much, much water. Over all, a let down.
