Klassisches Lager mit ein wenig Gras, ein bisschen Getreide und etwas Malz. Einfach zu trinken, recht erfrischend, tut keinem weh.

Bottle from Landbierparadies. Pours out in a hazy light amber colour with low airy head and medium body. Aroma of dust, nuts and hops. Taste of hops, straw, mild fruits, nuts and basement. Refreshing and nice.

Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Sattes Goldgelb, glanzfein, herzlich wenig Schaum. No way... Bestenfalls ein dröges Helles.

I just love Hebendanz, maybe the best brewery in Forchheim. This beer pours clear golden with a tall white head. Aroma is malty, a bit herbal. Fresh herbal taste, long dry and malty finish. Fresh, refreshing, easy to drink. This is how a lager should be.

Usko (168) - Bavaria, GERMANY - NOV 18, 2013
Golden color, white head. Aroma is straw, grain and butter, a bit fruity, decent herbal hop notes. Taste is quite the same, with a big malt character.

TAR (2495) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - APR 17, 2013
Bottle purchased from the brewery in Nov. 2012: Clear golden. Broken, jagged collar of foam. Flawed nose of green apple, DMS, and celery. Very mild hint of flowers. Peppery and juicily floral, yet peculiarly slippery and overtly limp and fruity with an applesauce dullness that pervades. Fairly metallic, as well. Grain character is sweetish and wet with grassy hay notions paired with ongoing apple-esque sugars. Vague peppery hop tickle struggles to poke through amid the muddled, poorly defined malt. Defective, rancid, and curiously fruity.

bottle in november 2012, best by february 2013. apple juice and butane nose, sweet smelling and cider-like, dirty with waxy citrus juice oils and sharp acid, crusty and stale malt. a surprising drain pour, this and another bottle were purchased direct from the brewmaster’s fridge.
