3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle by 19.02.12. Nose is malty with interesting herbal and fruity notes, even a touch of lagery funk/good musty hops. Hazy golden body with lots of carbonation and a talkative eggshell head. Very crisp full body, perhaps a little too carbonated, with some cough syrup and a jolt of sourness up front. Really stings the tongue, and lastingly, in concert with the alcohol. Grain and light toffee are next, but the real dominant force here is the creamy, lightly herbal sourness.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled 330ml (BZ, BB 01/2012)
Clear copper-amber color, small white head. Bready, herbal, apple fruity aroma. Light to medium bodied. A bit flat mouthfeel. Fruity, slightly sweet, a bit bready, low bitterness. Toffeish maltyness, light herbal note. Odd beer. When opening cap, didn’t feel like a leaked bottle, but strange flat mouthfeel and flavor.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 5.3%. OK grain aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour has the same hop flavour as most of the Hebendanz beers, quite nice. Mild maltiness, good mouthfeel, perhaps because of the alcohol.
