2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Gazza (726) - Worcester, - OCT 28, 2007
Bottle at Cruzat, BsAs. Not really an IPA as we know it - either USA or UK style - but a nice enough deep russet brew with a decent balance of rich maltiness and bitter hops then more spicy hop in the finish. Needs more hop to be a proper IPA (and more ABV!) but it’s a good, drinkable beer despite what style they say it is (it’s more of an English best bitter to me).
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 danielyabu (744) - União da Vitória, BRAZIL - JAN 15, 2011
huge frothy offwhite head. excellent lacing. mostly diminishing. translucent average dark amber body. aroma: citrus lemon, moderate roasted malt, vinegar. if and ff: light bitter and sour (reminded me of a gueuze sourness). palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation and . heavy astringent finish. venc ago/11, primeira IPA com toques azedos da minha vida, amargor lembra erva-mate e nao lupulo, muito diferente dos panteoes do estilo, nao chega a ser intragavel, mas deixa muito a desejar, principalmente na escassez de lúpulo e na adstringência excessiva, que nem ao menos deveria estar presente
Nota: 4 skol

Bottle from Cruzat: An OK IPA though could use a more generous amount of hops. A bit flat for the syle.

Thanks to ghawener. Good try!!! A very decent pale ale brewed to latin american taste buds. Nice pour with a golden color and medium head. Nice hops at the end, however, definitely you can use some more!! Maybe next time this brewery could try an Imperial IPA.
