Super deep amber coloured body with a dense off-white head. Aroma of tons of hops, caramel malt, alcohol, brandy and yes...even a bit of rye. Full-bodied; Sharp taste of metal, malt, caramel and very potent rye. Very strong flavours throughout with alcohol and rye being the most potent. Overall, a very hoppy and strong rye-based pale - good for those rye lovers, not good for those with discriminating palates ;-) I sampled this 65 cL bottle puchased at Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 06-November-2006.

Really good. Has a nice bit of a rye malt taste that is well blended with the strong hop presence. nice body that is a bit creamy, excellent brew, and its kosher!

Poured a clean dark amber with a considerable head. Aroma is like a slightly subdued imperial IPA. It has all the standard sweet and citrus notes, but there is a little heartiness that is almost smokey. The flavor is something else. This attacks the palate, its oily bitterness clings while some of the rye flavor is hinted at. And still, wow, this beer attacks the palate long after each wonderful sip.

22 oz bottle. Burnt orange in color with creamy off white head. Nose is syrupy alcohol sweet. Thick. Flavor is same. Big fruity sweet to thick and gooey to sharp and bitter. Sticks like glue to the back of my throat. Sweet bitter just hangs out in your mouth forever. Had to rerate. This got great when it warmed up. Caramel, vanilla, smooth. Yummy.

Pours a very nice dark orange/amber color with minimal off white head, which quickly dissipates. Smells of alcohol, malt, and citrus hops. Taste of strong hops with great malt character. Some alcohol taste. Very good. A very unique IPA.

Pours out of the bottle a deep red with a hint of burnt orange. Has a medium white head that has very large bubbles in the middle. Aroma of caramel, spice, a little citrus from the hops, a touch of alcohol comes through on the nose as well, a few vegital notes, floral notes also. Palate is heavy, sticky... almost chewy, little carbination and cloying quality. The first thind I notice taste wise is the sweetness and then the bitter hops coming through. Very sweet to start, caramel and rye come through, bitter citrus, bitter, then a sweet vegital and rye bread finnish. Interesting... really not my thing though.

Bottle. Pours orange amber with a dense and lasting off white head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy with light citric notes. The flavor is well balanced with sweet bready, almost toasty malt, along with some hoppy sweetness and grass. Not bad.

Raisins and sweet malt aroma. Grain, sweet fruit, flowers. Dry and dusty hops. Rye bread. Alcohol warming. What more can you ask for?
