THIS THING HAS SO MUCH HEAD!! it’s incredible. I poured like 2 minutes ago and there is still about 1.5 - 2" head with just barely any signs of dissipating. ok, there it goes...anyways..this is a dark ruby copper beer that is just "dark" in flavor. Hard to describe what I mean by that, but by way of the copious amounts of rye malts added to this beer..whooo boy. It is a spicy beer, not much in the way of bitterness, just the rye abasiveness. Very harsh, but very good, worth a taste if’n you have it ’round!

Dark copper with big brownish head. Aroma of caramel, liquorice, sweet malt. Soft on palate, incredible range of flavours from toffee and burned caramel to raisins and resiny malt. Impressive but not really to my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle sample at He’Brew tasting at Beer&Beyond shop. Clear amber-red with a small head. Aroma of hops, dried fruits, spices and alcohol. Sweet, flavors of caramel malts, fruits and toffee, strong hoppy bitterness, alcoholic, a bit medicinal and spicy. Medium bodied, chewy. Bold but too aggressive and boozy for my liking.

Bottle sample at He’Brew Brewery tasting at Beer&Beyond, Tel Aviv. Clear light copper/amber with no head. Very sweet aroma, sugar. Flavor is very sweet. Light weird bitterness, spicy. Medium body. Medium dry. Too alcoholic, unbalanced. Hard to drink.

Bottle to pint glass. No best by or born on dating. Pours clear amber/red with a decent one finger head that leaves a decent cap. Aroma is caramel malt and hops. Taste follows through with a nice rye bite at the end. Finish is full and slick with decent carbonation. Really good beer overall. Nice and balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Pours a drop orange/red with full head. Aromas of caramel, malt extract and grass much like a barley wine. Flavors of toffee/grass, bitter dried oranges, and toasted malts. The rye adds a nice sharp note. ABV is noticeable but does not distract too much. Very enjoyable.

Ruby amber body w/ a pretty tan head, good lace and nice head retention. Rye, grain & caramel malty aromas. Malt forward front end. A melange of hops finish dry, clean and bitter. A very well-balanced brew that is equal parts malt and hops.

The body had a beautiful deep reddish amber color with just a slight chill haze. On top sits a nice creamy light tan head that fades slowly down to ring of bubbles. It makes for some slick lacing on the glass. Its aroma has a big robust, bready/ roasted grain malt presence with plenty of strong resin hop notes and a noticeable sweet alcohol as well. The flavor has a very solid malty body up front. It brings sweet and roasted grain, bready and rye notes as well as some sweet alcohol. Hops flavor starts to add balance in the middle before tacking over in the end. The hops add some piney and resiny notes to the sweet warming alcohol and rye notes in the slow lingering finish. It has a full body with a thick, rounded chewy texture that hangs onto the palate.

Look: pours a light amber. Very clear. Thick off white head. Leaves lacing around edge. Smell: citrus fruit. Lemons, pine apple. Slight spiciness to it. Oranges. Pine trees. Grass Taste: rye on the back end. Leaves a very bitter taste. Pepper. Oranges. Feel: thick mouth feel that leaves a film on your teeth. Lightly carbonated. Overall: very hop forward. But the rye makes it interesting.

This beer has an aroma of hops that are quite herbal; as I sip, I taste a small level of licorice (but not overpowering). The taste has a pleasant, unexpected sweetness, and the palate is strong bodied. An excellent beer; I’ll be keeping an eye out for this again!

From bottle. Very nice floral/fruity hop aroma. Sweet malt notes, pleasant aromatics. Coppery amber clear with off-white foamy lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Sweet malt with light warming to start. Big hop flavor throughout with bitter finish. Sweet malty and bitter hop after. Good IIPA.
