Chewy, earthy, with lots of grapefruit and crystal malt. Extra chewy on the palate, resiny, crystal malt and more grapefruit. Balanced but for the lack of rye. Good brew, but not great. fiulijn (7520), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 3, 2007 Wonderful dark amber color with red hue. Caramel aroma, malt (vicious like a Barley Wine), breadish, some vanilla. Strong body, a bit oily, strong caramel flavor, with some sweetness and some vanilla. Very strong bitterness, with some grapefruit too and a lot of resins. Powerful. Very good APA, the caramel is still in my mouth. KimJohansen (7303), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Aroma is moderately sweet, sharp grapefruit, lemon. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit/pine, caramel/toffee, lemon, light butterscotch. Quite bitter, just like Lenny. Resiny full body, chewy. At times I find the IIPA style getting tired, and I was quite surprised that He’Brew is the brewery that broke through my malaise. faroeviking (6130), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 5, 2009 A Mes rate. Bottle at the Rake. Excellent amber body with a really good off white head. Superbly conditioned as well. Fruity malt, good bitter hoppage and a slight cheesy funk, which is nice. A strange blend of sugar and bitter. Faint alcohol and maybe a little ethanol in the finish but it’s not enough to spoil it. Decent stuff. bu11zeye (5715), Frisco, Texas, USA
