Dark pour. Brown head. Surprising amount of carbonation. Smell is sweet. Molasses vanilla whiskey. First sip has to be chewed. Raspberries and figs enter the mix. Damn different and damn good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hebrew needs to take a blending lesson from Firestone walker. This beer is just sloppy and sweet. Way to much going on. The only thing I can say is it lives up to the "funk" in it’s name and not really in a good way. Drain poor.

Bottle: The aroma consists of chocolate, caramel, coconut, vanilla, and a touch of mint. It pours a dark brown with some orange highlights and a small tan head. The flavor starts with chocolate, molasses, and caramel. The finish has fruit, raisin, and oxidation. It?s full bodied with mild carbonation and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, the oxidation is a bit rough.

Lots of bourbon. Lots of fruit. Lots of malt. Lots of alcohol. Lots of everything. There is a lot going on with this beer. Very complex.

Bomber from Windmill Farm. Deep black/ruby on the pour. Woody whiskey nose with a bit of roast. Sweet booze and wood with a bit of a vanilla character. Some roastiness and dark fruit. Fairly sweet with a strong barrel component. Not very hopped. Very interesting blend.

Wonderful aroma of nuts, cashews, almost a hint of sour aroma? Complex mouth around, get the roasted nuts and malts. Still some residual sourness?

On tap. Black with a foamy tan head. Earthy roasted grain, rye whiskey, and red wine barrel like funky aroma. Bright lively palate. Sugary sweet whiskey, wine barrel sourness, lemon, brown sugar, and a vanilla, oaky, sugary, yet dry finish. A bit too sweet.

Pour is a dark brown with a medium sized head. Aroma is of dark fruit, some vinegar and caramel. Flavor is again dark fruit to start, then comes some molasses and red wine aspects. FInish is some of the wood from the barrel aging. This is a nice slow sipper with a little something each sip.
