12 oz. bottle for $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a clear, deep amber body with a foamy, frothy, whitish head. Splotchy lacing. Smell: Aroma smelling of toast and grains and fragrant spicy hops with just a faint, faint hint of lemon zest. Taste: Pale malts, lightly grainy, with flavors of dark caramel and toasted bread crusts. Faint fruitiness. Medium toffee-like sweetness present. Spicy, citrusy hops with a medium bitterness. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Relatively smooth mouthfeel. Drinkability: Not bad! Though not exactly stellar, it is an above average American Pale Ale.

12oz bottle. Poured clear amber color. Not much head, poor retention, and some lacing. A mild fruitiness. Some citrus. Sweet malty. Herbal hop aroma. Taste has a good hoppy backbone. Good balance with hop and malt characters. Malts give off some caramel, but the main focus is hop bitterness and earthy flavor. Medium body. Good carbonation and smooth.

Blah. Not a good APA. Aroma was so so. Mostly vinous with caramel malt. Pour was a light brown with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was thin and weak. Tasted stronger than 6%. Thin caramel malt with a staleness to it. I could detect no hops in this beer which is bad for an APA. I loved their other beers, but this one just doesnt cut it

Reviewed 12/4/2008 (bottle): Pours a reddish cloudy body. Small whitish head, diminishing. Strong hoppy aroma, fresh smelling. Grainy, sweet-like grain. Interesting aroma. That same sweet grainy taste, maybe some rye. Pomegranate. Carbonated. Sweet malty taste.

Bottle. Nice tarnished penny color with a one finger head and aromas of sweet malt with little else to offer. Flavor is highly bitter with a caramel malt backbone and a little bit of a metal edge. Has a slightly astringent side to it, which is a little off-putting. This is pretty mediocre.

He’brew, a little uneasy about the insinuations on the label. Same with the majority of these Hebrew beers. I guess I better find out if the owners or stockholders are Jewish first. Funny, how nothing is subject to respect, these days. Oh well, back to jenny. Genesis is advertised as a smooth and distinctive light brown ale. As far as the color goes, it is clear but has deeper tint than the typical pale yellow beer. Looking somewhat like iced tea. Aroma is beery with no offensive attributes, almost has a charming floral olfactory. Taste is quite bitter initially and comes across with some medicinal qualities. Has a very thin creamy alabaster head. Little lacing. Not sure if a lager devotee would call this palate smooth or not. Does not hide its 6% too well. Decent carbonation. Biting terse flavors build thru session. Not as downy as other American pale ales I sampled. Cannot hold a candle to marzoni’s mark’s mash or ACME CA APA. Moylans Tipperary Pale Ale and Eisenbahn Pale Ale (S.A.P.A.) are also much smoother and acceptable than this. S6L3T4F2O8 L’CHAIMI!

Bottle @ Ellicottville Beer Fest. Wouldn t conside this an APA. Little hop flavor. Perhaps an bland amber. Drinkable, some flavor, little bitterness. Nothing bad but rather bland & maybe thats the session beer they wanted to make

First brew crushed with Honkeybra on a intense weekend. Didn’t get off to a great start. Hop presence in interesting. Label says ’’light brown.’’ Aight? What’s that mean. If it’s that, unimpressive, if it’s a pale ale, unimpressive. Nothing chosen here.
