This is the new recipe replacing the original He’Brew Genesis ale. Balanced between a West Coast style pale and amber ale with just enough malt sweetness to highlight a flurry of hop aroma and flavor. Witness the evolution of our original creation.

Aroma of floral hops. Note of juniper. The taste is somewhat bitter. Palate is strong bodied. Interesting beer, certainly worth trying.

12 ounce bottle. A nice thick beige head has good retention. Thick sticky lacing. The beer is opaque and red brown. Citrus, caramel, and yeast in the aroma. This is earthy but also smooth. Citrus hops but with rich malts and heavy yeast flavors. The amber comes through in this. This offers 3 way balance with the yeast, hops, and malt. I would have like more hops. Imminently drinkable.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tasted on 12/12/13 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Craft Brewed. Pours clear burnt orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to average, bubbly lace. The nose has a nicely balanced aroma of light caramel malt, bread, and plenty of floral and grassy hops. The flavor is more focused on the citrus and grassy hops bitterness with the same malt character from the nose providing balance. The body is light with lively carbonation, and a medium balanced finish.

On draft at the money. Body was a tad thin, but some nice notes of pine, grapefruit. It was easy to enjoy.

On tap at Barcade, pours murky reddish brown with small white head, alright lacing. Aromas and flavor are a malt mess, lots of caramel, sweet malt, grape juice, and bread biscuits. Medium to fuller body, with a good bit of carbonation. I never enjoy these malt forward American pales.

Tawny colored pour. Slight off-white colored, medium-sized head. Some lacing, but not much. Malty aroma with a slight iced-tea note. Malty flavor with notes of biscuit and bread. Slightly hoppy on the finish. Not too bitter. Quite pleasant.

The nose is caramel balanced with grass and citrus. Nice. Pours a clear dark amber with an off-white ring and minor lacing. The flavor, initially, is slightly sweet followed by a grassy/citrus finish. Balanced. A somewhat bitter aftertaste is also present. Medium-light body and moderate but crisp carbonation. Overall, I can see why this could be a session beer, but one will do it for me for now.

Pours a copper color with a finger of eggshell foam. The nose is malt forward with a touch of sweetness and some grassy stale hops and a trace of citrus. The palate follows but is a bit more refreshing than the nose. Nice balance between round toasted amber malts and grapefruit bitterness. Pretty refreshing and easy to drink.
