This is the new recipe replacing the original He’Brew Genesis ale. Balanced between a West Coast style pale and amber ale with just enough malt sweetness to highlight a flurry of hop aroma and flavor. Witness the evolution of our original creation.

Bottle. Pours the color of dark-stained oak furniture, with a thin off-white head. The initial aroma is reminiscent of brewery tours when they let you you taste some toasted malt ... yummy. This drinks with that same toasty edge right up front. I’m not getting a lot of "west coast" hoppiness here, but it is a very well balanced beer, with just a hint of spruce at the finish. Bottle. Nice red amber, low head. Resinny hop nose, slightly skunked unfortunately. Medium light body, light roast and honey, grassy citric and piney hops. Minerally finish, light grass aftertaste.

A single b0ttle fr0m the l0cal Jewel: The b0dy is an amber/c0pper c0l0r t0pped by a skinny ecru head. The ar0ma is quite sweet, caramel, l0ts 0f it, with an underlying spiciness, s0me fl0ral n0tes, mayhaps, and a shake 0f black pepper. Creamy m0uthfeel. It tastes mainly 0f caramel, n0t 0verly sweet, with an earthy bitterness al0ng with s0me subtle spices. I like the flav0r. N0t 0verp0wering, but mildly sweet, spicy, and easy t0 drink. It’s a repeatable change 0f pace f0r this av0wed h0p-head.

The beer pours an orange-amber color with a white head. The aroma has some toffee and biscuit malt in it, as well as some grass and a little bit of pine from the hops. The flavor has a decent amount of biscuit malt, with the grassy hops standing out. I also get a little bit of pine and maybe a hint of orange from the hops. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Sampled on 10/3/2012. This American Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and citrusy. Decent carbonation. Decent balance starts malty and bready and finishes hoppy. Tallahassee, Fl. - World Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly murky medium copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma leads to the sweet side of the spectrum with some molasses notes, some fruit salad sweetness. Full bodied flavor with some nuttiness, some brief citrus notes, a tad too much crystal malt, and a back end of brown sugar sweetness. Mouthfeel is pleasantly thick.
