Hoppy nose, hoppy start, hoppy finish. Very nice beer. Not too flowery, more citrus tang to it.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Cybercat (2476) - Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2012
Comes out of the tap an opaque dark honey-golden with a thick, fine-bubbled, pale wheat head. Aroma is VERY hoppy, more woody than evergreen, with fruity and malty hints. Flavor is mainly hoppy, quite bitter and woody, with malty and fruity notes and a whisper of honey. Firm, ragged texture has plenty of life and fizz. If you like IPAs, this one is for you. Dry-hopped beers rock!
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 davey101 (495) - Connecticut, USA - AUG 7, 2012
12 oz bottle into a SA perfect pint. I was disappointed that they didn’t list the ABV on the bottle...here I was thinking I discovered a sub-5% abv hoppy brew...oh well
A - Dark amber body. Super fluffy white head with tons of lacing and retention.
S - A smell that instantly reminds me off Hoptimum and 120 minute in terms of the sweetness...only this is 5.2% abv..crazy! Super sweet and piney hops with a great cracker maltiness. I can’t describe the exact aroma, but its precisely what I love in an IPA, and this is a pale.
T - Falls a bit short, but still tasty. Sweet and piney hops with caramel malts. Biterness is quite low despite the large hop presence. mouth feel is watery and thin though.
O - Kind of an odd beer with lots of key words thrown in. Session beer...yes, but I was hoping it was less abv. Dry hopped? Oh hell yes! This is my first Schmaltz beer and I love it. One of the best pales I’ve had.

Pours a clear dark amber. Aroma is of malts with floral notes detected. I can almost taste the brewery in this beer. The best word that comes to mind is fresh. It just reminds me of drinking a beer while at a brewery. Palate feel is average. Overall, this is a good beer to experience. Mellow and malty yet hoppy.

12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 38°. Color is a murky orange brown with mellow carbonation and a thin tight head. Aroma of caramel and lightly roasted malts. It has a bold medium body with a creamy mouth feel. Flavor of caramel, citrus and apple backed by hop spice and a nice bitterness. In the after taste the fruits come up a bit more before fading out leaving the spice to linger. Overall this is a very well balanced and tasty brew.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Argonaut Denver. Pours a hazy, dark red orange appearance with a big, light brown head. Spicy hoppy, mild grapefruity, herbal/earthy, toasty malty aroma. Prickly spicy, big herbal hoppy, somewhat piney, nicely toasted malty flavor. Nice session beer.

It has the body of a lager. Rich caramel with bitter hops. Being dry hopped it is very flowery with a pollen nose. A bit of honey. Organic taste. pretty good. Dark amber color. 2.99 a 6-pack at Sprouts bargin bin. Snagged a couple other sixers at the same price.

12 ounce bottle - $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Atlanta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours out a fairly clear, amber-hued body with a white, foamy head that’s just a bit creamyish. Bits of puffy lace on the descent.
Smell: Pale base malts, slightly bready, with just a bit of caramel overridden by zestfully spicy, citrusy hops.
Taste: Modest pale malts, lightly bready with a vague caramel trace to it and just a hint of apparent sweetness. Spice, citrus, but also a small helping of earthiness to sit with from the hops. Sufficiently bitter. Drying, thinning, zesty finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: I thought the previous Genesis Ale rendition was an above average American Pale Ale, and this certainly follows suit.
