In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a copper/bronze colored body, half finger white foamy head slowly dies within a half minute, nice sticky spider web lacing clings tightly to the pint glass. The aroma has the pine/citrus hops up front, slight maltiness comes forward as the beer warms. The taste is bittersweet just as an AIPA should be, pine/citrus hops begin bitter and gradually allow the malts to intricate themselves within the flavoring, nice bitter piney aftertaste; dry sticky finish. On the palate, its about a light to medium, fairly sessionable, carbonation is spot on for the style and for me as the sharpness is there but there is an aspect of smoothness that is more than enjoyable, big wow from me. Overall, AIPA - outa the park Schmaltz, holey moley, I can’t believe I had to move to Alaska to find this, I most certainly would have this again

Excellent IPA! The Hop Manna pours a very light copper color with a cloudy, orange hue. The head is white, thick and leaves a sticky, cascading lace around the inside of my glass. The nose is extremely inviting and just-about perfect for an IPA. I sense plenty of hops, orange, caramel malt, toasted bread and yeast. The flavors certainly do not disappoint. There are plenty of flowery, sticky and complex hops, brining some hints of grapefruit, orange, lemon, toasted bread and some yeast. The beer finishes bitter, dry, hoppy and with a big twang of yeast and roasted malts.

Slightly muted nose of pine and citrus. Taste moves quickly from citrus to bitterness - a sustained hoppy finish. Seems slightly over carbonated, but otherwise very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at Big Brew Beer Festival (Morristown). Poured a dark orange color with a foamy off white head. Aroma of sweet oranges and caramel malt. Taste of sugar coated oranges, sweet citrus, bitter citrus zest, and caramel malt.

Poured 22 ounce bottle into a tall .5 liter glass. Poured a cloudy deep copper color, with thick frothy head. Presented a great hop flower and noticeable aroma. The flavor is of a citrus and toasted grains. Large hoppy flavor, but not over the top. A great mouth full of IPA from beginning to end. Bravo!

Smells hoppy, coppery, a bit malty. Lots of head, but dissipates quickly. Thin body. Nice amber color. Very sweet and floral at first then surprisingly bitter finish. Decent IPA but nothing terribly exciting.

Pours a clear orange with thick white head. A very malty aroma with some citrus. Taste is stronger with more malt than hops, as well as a lot of caramel, but still ends with a bitter hop aftertaste.

Thin head of medium sized bubbles with excellent carbonation. Hoppy aroma with lots of earthy and fall aromas. Decaying leaves, dried flowers, a bit of pine, roasted grains and some vegetal aromas. Color is a cloudy dark orange. Lively mouthfeel with lots of effervescence. Lots of hoppy bitterness. Some grapefruit, mild malts, pine sap, roasted grains and some herbal flavors. Again earthy like the aroma. Bit of a chalky and pasty palate. Finishes bitter and dry. A decent IPA.

Bottle. Pours a murky brown with a light brown medium head. Aroma is hard to place but is slightly "rotten". However the taste has a very floral front with a nice is finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
