In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2012 Bottle@Syrahs of Jasper, Jasper, Canada. Amber beer with a strong frothy head. The aroma is very well hopped, the flavour very well hopped with a long dry finish. Overall a pretty good well hopped IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear amber with beautiful carbonation and a big, light and lacy head. Aroma is pure fresh hops. Flavor is hoppy and bitter but refreshing. Delightfully drinkable! Loved this beer.

Bottle from AZ Wine. As fresh as one could ask for here. Pours hazy copper with a beige head that leaves solid lacing. Brimming with hops in the aroma. Caramel, hop resin, pine, and sweet malts in the flavor. Delicious.

Bottle. Can’t find a batch number or date but this is far from outstandingly fresh: all I can find on the label is a 2012 so I guess that limits me to 8 months. Nice copper orange pour, white head. Aroma is a little bit oxydized, the hops have really faded, some piney aromas subside, lots of toffee, caramelized malt, oddly some coriander is present as well. Taste is relatively bitter, some carboard like oxidization notes, really toffee heavy. Palate is lively and medium bodied. Would like to rerate a fresher bottle.

A bit too malt forward for an Imperial IPA. This has good drinkability. It has good flavor and goes down easy. Overall, I think this is a good beer, and a nice IPA. There is some nice maltiness and a good citrus flavor. I just wish there was a little more hop intensity. I recommend trying it out. It is a good beer, and I would drink it again.

draft, amber color, off whit head, good lacing. Aroma of floral, citrus, spruce hops, caramel, toast, malts. light sweetness up front, , lightly bitter, medium body, dry finish. oily feel, average carbonation, good overall tasting ipa. The hop flavor is not in your face (which I like), a more mild ipa, but a good brew.

22oz bottle. Reddish amber color. Thin white fizz. Heavy carbonation. Aroma of a musty IPA, nice munich malts, toasted malts, resiny hops. Taste is a light bodied buscuit malt backbone. Finishes with a heavy carbonation, leafy hops flavor. Not as good as the First Sample batch I had, that offering was stickier, with more dry hopping. This one is just a nice American Pale Ale.
