In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Pours a deep golden orange color with a thick eggshell foam....sticks nicely. Aromas are peachy, caramel, pine and a touch of citrus peel. On the palate its heavy and bitter... nothing standing out but a bundle typical hop notes similar to the nose. Best of the hop profile is the mid citrus thats juicy but the sticky bitter finish phlegms up in the finish. Not bad but again no date to be found o the bottle, possibly just past its prime?

Pours a clear orange color with a finger of white head. The nose is heavy on the citrus peel and bread aromas. A decent amount of line and some light sweetness. The flavor is fairly bitter, but the hop flavor is lacking a little. Some grapefruit, citrus rind, pine, and a light grass note. Heavy on the bread with some mild sweetness.

Poured bomber - Excellent hop representation here. Nicely balanced by some malt and even wheat in there. Sort of reminds me of Bell’s Two Hearted. Nicely done.

Great, big American IPA. Lots of hops and bitterness, looks great in the glass and the aroma is perfect. Overall a terrific beer.

Yep I like big American IPA’s, this one looks good in the glass, smells even better and the taste is what I am after, hoppy and bitter.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Liquor Max Loveland. Pours a hazy orange appearance with a cream colored head. Mild garlic, piney, earthy hoppy, mild grapefruity aroma. Somewhat spicy, orange/grapefruity, onion, a bit tangy, rich pale malty flavor. Pretty good.

THOUGHTS: This one was all about the hops. But it was more about the hop flavors than the hop bitterness. Although it was nicely bitter, too. But not overwhelmingly so. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark, brownish amber with an average, off-white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma had light to moderate caramel malt; heavy resin hops; less pine and citrus hops; and maple syrup. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and light to moderately bitter; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet and bitter and lightly acidic with an average to long duration. There was caramel, orange hops, pine hops, tons of resin hops, other citrus hops and maple syrup. The medium body was sort of oily and then dry with sort of soft carbonation and lightly astringent and slightly metallic finish.
