In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Bottle. Pale amber with a large white head. Aroma is Citra dominated, with lemon and ruby grapefruit, herbs and light caramel. Thinnish body with (perhaps too) low carbonation. Bittersweet with the citrus flavour verging on sour. Malt flavours are discreet, but their honeyed nature goes well with the lemon. Refreshing. Pepper and some pine creep up in the quite bitter finish.

Clear dark amber color with lasting ivory head. Dank, spicy, grassy, earthy, skunkweed aromas. Medium body. Nice spicy, wet grass, earthy hop flavors with a solid malty base--tasty ipa

I hated this beer. I saw that it was dry hopped with centennial, cascade, and citra and got very excited for a really hoppy citrusy IPA to enjoy. Well what I got was an over the top malty hop bittered mess. I did not like it at all and almost drain poured it. Maybe there was something wrong with the bottle? It was fresh and handled well so Im not sure theres an excuse besides its not good.

Bomber: Aroma has got a nice pungent bitter hop note, lightly floral, citrusy, and hops. Appearance is a golden/amber with a thick white head that diminishes quickly. Taste has got a really nice citrus note upfront then melds into a bitter note, then finishes with a nicely citrus note. Palate is medium to high carbonation, medium to light on the tongue, and a nice hop note in the aftertaste. Overall, Nice stuff. I would dink a lot of this. Cheers!

Pours a hazy honey-golden with a thick, fine-bubbled, pale tan head. Aroma is seriously hoppy with an evergreen overtone and woody, grapefruit and malty hints. Strongly hoppy flavor is rather bitter, yet has a nice undertone of honey plus notes of malt and grapefruit. Firm-bodied texture has plenty of sass and fizz, leaving a hoppy and tingly finish. This is the third great IPA I have had in the last couple days.

Pretty good stuff. Served at a good temperature with a thick, foamy, cream colored head that lasts and lots of lace. Color is clear amber with some bubble trails. Aroma is hop, grapefruit, resin, malt. Flavor’s like nose, balanced, bitter, dry. Body is full, soft, with mild carbonation; perhaps a touch too mild. Finish is like flavor, quite long, and satisfying. Could drink another of these.

Bottle [660ml] shared with HogTownHarry at Burger Bar, June 27. Pours a slightly hazy deep orange-copper with a small lasting white head. Nice aroma is sweet, hoppy and quite fruity. Flavour is also sweet along with fruity hops and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very good.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that lasted with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus & earthy hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate citrus bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. This is a good beer.
