COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Well hopped IPA with a dry-hoppy finish. Lightly malted with flavors of grass, lime, orange peel, and honey. The dry hopping definitely adds a noticeable hoppiness and a dry, crisp finish. Not for the weak hearted, but it will satisfy the hopheads (like me).

Gold/ornage pour, a finger of white ead. Aroma is mostly bitter grapefruit. Grapefruit and pine up front, nice caramel malt follows up. West coast-style hop profile. floral. Carbonation is right on. Maybe the most under-rated brewer north of the Mason Dixon.

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 26 April 2012) Amber colour with brief, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of cereal, orange, marmalade, resin and apricots. Pours a clear bright golden with a clingy-lacing froth of white head. Has a clean fresh floral hoppy nose with some light malty sweetness. Starts with pretty good fullness and lightly toasted malts with a good balance of citrusy hops before a drier bittersweet finish. Not all that assertive, but very drinkable.

Bottle from watson1977. Pours clear amber with a large soapy sudsy off white head that fades to a soapy film. Aroma shows earthy hops that come off with some dry hops and malt. Taste is earthy toned down spruce like dry hops which is bitter and then the malt shows through and takes over. Palate is slick and smooth with a dry finish. Easy drinking IPA!
